i almost agree with the equating civil unions to a marriage (but just not using the word "marriage")
the only thing that steers me away from that idea are jim crow laws. We have history class in school. I feel like we have history class to learn from our mistakes. We tried separate but equal (which marriage and civil unions would completely be). It did not work.

and i completely agree with you. IF churches are being sued... then yes. THAT IS WRONG!!!! However, i am not finding anything about this. I keep hearing people argue that churches were being sued. I've tried looking up these cases (and will continue to do so) but fail to find ANYTHING. The only thing that i keep finding are articles about how that was a tactic that prop 8 supporters used to influence the vote and that it was a huge lie.
