Ed Hardy was def one of the major catalysts bringing tattooing into mainstream culture. This video kinda makes me sad, having met this gentleman before his passing. Even tho my shop works hand in hand with the local health board to insure that the necessary standards are met (and often exceeded), Ed Hardy and his contemporaries are a few of my major inspirations (including pre-MI Chris Garver, Kari and Jeremiah Barba & Bob Tyrell). New & old skool ink deserves respect, esp if it's done well.

I know how you feel looking at that (and I bet that needle isn't that wholesome either) just makes me cringe. But, you have to realize is that's how they did thing back in the day.

man back in the day yea gloves werent used alot hell you talk to anyone in the industry for decades theyll tell you they would use the needles on more than one person chances are that was used on a few people after ed thats just how things were back then when you wouldnt die from being sneezed on like now a days so gloves barely mattered then hell ive seen people not even use gloves now by some "respectable" artists
