I actually though she was afghan! I just assumed because she sang Sabza Ba Naaz. At this point, I think we're afghan but when it comes down to it, all of us are originally Persian somehow anyway. I just happen to speak Dari, and Iranians happen to speak Farsi, which are technically the same anyways. The wold sees us as the same people, so why are we acting like we're not?

in Afghanistan we speak the original version of Farsi - DARI. But its not the same language... lol. That's like saying that arabic and farsi are the same. Because farsi has arabic "loghats". @zolizar First of all, i said she is not Persian for sure which obviously refers to Iran as in today's map! not refering to tajikestan or gherghizestan or so. And Persian or Farsi originally is Iran's language. I was born and lived in Tehran, Iran for over 20 years, if you pronounce words like her in Tehran, barely anyone would understand you. I suppose you can search and listen to Iranian songs and find the difference.

ALL the Iranians are uneducated only beacuse they don't have your accent?! Have you ever heard anything about Ferdousi?! @MsMayaLuv Balkh in the medieval time was referring to a province in Khorasan. Vakhsh, the birthplace of Rumi was in the province of Balkh. In the medieval period, the region was referred to as Khorasan. There was no Uzbekistan, Tajikistan or Afghanistan. This is the result of the Soviet era.

the term Tajik is taken from Ta-Yuechi and Dahae which drived from the Kushanians. But modern Tajiks are descandants of western Persians and ancient eastern Aryans, such as Kaboulis, Bactrians, Choresmians, Sistanis, Soghdians, Arias, Zamindawaharis, Parthians etc. You Pashtun Kussmadar should keep your wet dreams for yourself because WE are your husbands who bang your wifes, daughters, and mothers who later speak OUR language, be it ''Dari'', Tajiki or Farsi.

@Mijgona70 I do enjoy listening to her and do believe she is talented and has a great voice. My only problem with her is Not that she is copying songs from Afghan artists, but the fact that she is copying and not always giving credit to the author of the song. At least when Jonibek copies, he gives credit to the author's name in All of his videos. Other than that, she's great and we Afghan people enjoy listening to her.

so what if she copies afghan songs? It is her rendition of those PERSIAN yes PERSIAN LANGUAGE SONGS...btw there is no such thing as Afghan Language. In Afghanistan a dialect of Persian (Dari) is spoken along with Pashto. in Tajikistan where Shabnam hails from they speak PERSIAN also but the Tajik dialect. in Iran its called FARSI....ITS ALL THE SAME LANGUAGE! in Afghanistan we speak the original version of Farsi - DARI. But its not the same language... lol. That's like saying that arabic and farsi are the same. Because farsi has arabic "loghats". But they are FAR from eachother. Dari, Farsi and "Persian" are all different. SIMILAR, but different. Definitely not "the same language" as you mentioned :)
