@FFJNVT Its not a really smart "man" stands around all day catching them with a rod and reel when that man can accomplish the same thing legally with a net in 1 hour. Especially when you are going for fishing/trapping bait.
You are right, I am not native, it is legal to dip net suckers since they are not a game fish and is something that is very common in the area in the spring for lake trout bait. Why don't you make sure you are right about the laws before trying to make me look like a poacher!

We used to can or pickle them. It was a spring ritual. Up near Calabogie,Ont.

Reminds me of the good old days when we too would net suckers. Also the head end of Clearwater and the Indian Portage.
