  • mario is cool guy

  • Who ever started that project should be fired and castrated.

  • Nice work! that's how a data room should look. The messes people post on here they should be fired.

  • super mario did a good job. thumbs up to him.

  • its good to have some help sometimes

  • So THIS is Mario's real job... huh all those games must have been him tripping...

  • Better, but still needs much work.... as to your comment on using different colors so that you don't lose track, that's what labeling is for. Rhino sells a nice, inexpensive cable label maker. Cable Management seems to be a fading art, with people having a lazy attitude towards it....sad. Keep on it man, you'll have a rack you can be proud of in no time.

  • lol

  • so this means mexicans can do something else than mowning the lawn?

  • nice work man :P

  • It's hard cleaning up a mess like that.

  • Dude, you need Neat-Patch!

  • SUGGESTION ! Keep your cable SHORTER !!!

  • hum im still looking the same shit!

  • We use cable colors to designate network purposes.

    Yellow=production network (teamed)

    Black=backup network (backups don't impact production)

    Gray=iLO (HP ProLiant)

    Green=Support (UPS, A/C, Temp, Floor moisture, Generator, Smoke, etc.)

    Red=Security (Doors, Cameras, etc.)

    White=KVM (TCP/IP)

    Blue=Other

  • OMG! many cables!

  • It aint a bad hair day , but a bad cable day.

  • 2 much cables goD

  • ya i work with a mess like that at my school lol

  • Wow! as sndd0138 specified, patch panels are needed, both vertical at each end of the rack or cabinet 6" to 10" and horizontal between the patch panels 2U with cover and fingers so you can go up and down to plug in.

  • always color coordinate and label cables!! rule number one if your a Network Engineer like myself..lol Looks good now though he did a great job

  • ell mario si chell ch siii

  • id love to get some rackmount accessories from that company. they were nice enough to send a free catolog when i asked for one.

    They also have some great industrial products too, such as fully sealed (O-ring) cables for use in factories.

  • are those Seimons cable organizers?? :D

    wow

  • You should have used patch cords in the same colour. Also, installing cable management between the patch panels and switches would've given the rack a more structured look. Appearance is just as important as functionality.

  • At :28 you can see the cables running into the patch panel have already been cut into a specific length. To redo it would take time and money, i didn't have that.

    I agree it should have been like that when first installed, but it was that for 6 years before i got there.

    As far as the color, i am not much into buying the same color cables. they are much easier to see and follow from patch to switch w/o losing track of the cable. 5 different colors so i can track them. have a good one.

  • Lol.

    When I see this video, I remembered a day in my first job experience. Our dumb boss have been made cables to a electrician handyman. :)

    Problem is that all cables which in UTP cable , colors are so similar and transparent!!!

  • Ahhhhh now that's ISO Certified . Good Job Mario .

  • That guy does NOT look italian. And where's the red cap and overalls?

  • phillipino i guess

  • Nice and ISO compliant!

  • Good work!
