@SuperQueenofAfrica never said he was a rapper, read my statement clearly, "he is like the Tupac of Nigeria" Tupac was an activist who advocated through his music, so did Fela... thats the point i was making
@IIidornigie i thought you were talking about rapping not activism although tupac did a lot of the B, N , H type music i HATE the N WORD .. hate it , its disgusting and vile , something fela would never ever endorse ,dont be fooled by the women, the weed etc... fela paid with his LIFE
The music, the dance, the costumes, the makeup are awesome. But the rest sucks. "I can´t die"? That must come from an artist whose talent comes from every part of his body except the intellect. Sorry "fella".
@atirisdes lol how wrong he was. he's been dead for quite a while now. there has been some speculation as to his death. it is said he died of complications to aids. keep in mind this man has many wives. if true, that means he may have infected all those women. =(
FELA.. YOU HAVE MY VOTE..ALL VOTE.FOR CHANGE...FELA IS THE CHANGE WE NEED... FELA FOR PRESIDENT OR PRIME MINISTER..
Rest in Peace..The Icon..., The Eleniyan, The baba 70...The Abami Ada and The SPRITUAL ONE..We miss you,, we love you,, you will forever in our memories.may God bless and grant you eternal rest the Nigerian government didnt give you..REST IN PEACE..
Thanks for uploading this beautiful documentary about an intelligent and brilliant man trying to attain the impossible in a country and a continent that would not listen....I have listened to his music for a long time but I knew little about his biography. Really a great man of our century that I feel we did little to recognize. All the european newspapers would talk about were his beautiful wives and his pot smoking habit.
what kind of keyboard is fela playing in the first two seconds of this segment?
