Brain surgery you are awake, the brain itself cannot feel pain, the only pan from the surgery you would feel is when they would cut open your skull and such, so they just give ou a local anesthetic.. they keep you awake so they can ask you questions and monitor your functions and all.

yep,they keep you awak so they can ask you questions. the brain has no pain or pressur receptors. its interesting cuz they can gently press on a part of your brain and something cool can ahppen, like you'll have a flashback of a distant memory,or see a certain color and things like that.
