  • I remember this song so well! A little cheesy, as a teenager, to listen to. Saying that, the song has stuck with me through the past 20 years - that's amazing!

  • I lost a song from my hard drive during a crash which goes something like "Oh there's no place like Worldshowcase!" and I cannot find it anywhere! What is it called and does anybody have a link to it?

  • the french singers accent is horrible!

  • @pellebee Thanks for saying how horrible you are. :)

  • @Luciferminusone horrible? Are you french canadian or french? I mean getting an english speaking canadian to sing the french version it sounds like. It's just funny :) No harm but they could have at least taken a quebecois singer :) (common celine dion and many more, quebecois people rule the culture in canada so many resources it couldnt be that hard!!! :)

  • i lived in canada for the first 18 years of my life now living in orlando. canada yes is beautiful in parts but the whole political system government melting pot many different cultures ruins my country i was born. i served in the canadian military from when i was 16 till i moved down to US at 18. i would never choose another country to live in than the states. never mind what people think of the US it is the best country in world and americans should be pround and loud about it.

  • @CF173 Yes, you're absolutely right. Other countries have beautiful landscape but with the politics they way they are you wouldn't want to live there. This is the best country in the world and I'm very pourd to be an American. I'm glad you see this as well.

  • Lol the geese crack me up because where I live in NW Florida there's a group of Canadian geese who flew down years ago, but they never go back even in the hot summer! They like it here and go from pond to pond and eat from the vast boggy sports fields. ( FSU and Famu ) and they live part of the time behind a Mall! They strut around like they own the place and they hold up traffic! They are cute! BEAUTIFUL SONG BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY! I saw a tiny bit of it last year at Niagara Falls. GB

  • @GettnBooted I'm in central Florida, close to Orlando and we dont' get Canada Geese. I like them a lot. I've been to Canada but only to the Niagra area too.

  • I really missed that older song when I was on that ride/show last time...thank you so very much for preserving it!! GB

  • @GettnBooted No prob. Glad to share.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • @OutsidersEdge Sure. No problem.

  • Thank God for the classics!! I'm not a huge fan of the new Canada song.

  • @HBBabe94 neither am i. if I were an imagineer woorking on this attraction I would re-record that section of music but change that last part of the orchestral intro from C to A just so the mistake that is the current version of the song is corrected although i might have Eva re-record the female vocal track as i've *heard* the woman who did it here mispronounced a few things

  • I just found out they updated the song for the attraction. It sounds nice but, this is still the best. Thanks for posting it destroyahdes.

  • @djgettys I was just there a few weeks ago but didn't go into the Canada part. THanks for letting me know. No prob. Glad to share.

  • I love Disney World. My Favorite park there is Epcot. I have looked EVERYWHERE for the lyrics of this song for the new version. does anyone know them? thanks! ~Bodasher895

  • This has always been such a bitter-sweet song for me. On one side, the beauty of the melody and lyrics, coupled by the images in the theatre, were always incredibly touching. On the other, the non-French singer who butchered the language to the point where even French-Canadians had no clue what she was singing has always made me wish it was not so (this was fixed in the new version of the song but, while still wonderful, has a whole new feeling to it). Still, who can't help but love it.

  • Original version was written by my aunt's father!

  • i went with my cousins and family. we love this song. there are three people. my cousin, me, and my little brother. my cousin starts low, i follow a smidge higher, and my brother finishes with his shrill 5 year old voice. BEST FREAKING SONG EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I first went to see this in the early 1980's and fell in love with Canada and yet have still not been but I still play the music and promise myself that I WILL visit someday. It is on my 'bucket list'. Just don't change things to much Disney, the song and music is truly inspirational.

  • I want to see canada, and im not far away! U.S.A and I havent seen it yet!!! Then again im only 18 haha

  • This song is so cool, plus the show s kinda funny too.

  • Yes this song was sang by Eva Avila who won the Canadian idol or something.. And that was at the Epcot Disney which it sounds soo much better than this man singing. This guy turns this song to like a country music. l wish I can find full good quality of Eva singing this by herself.

  • Epcot is awesome! It is a celebration of the richness and diversity of different cultures.

  • i loved this show, mainly because of this song! thank you for posting :)

i swear i had a woman mainly singing though?? did anyone else?? xx

  • @chocaholic269 No prob. Glad you liked it.

  • @chocaholic269 on the new version it's a woman but this one is a duet

  • @chocaholic269 it was this song originally, but they recently redid the entire show and rerecorded the song with the winner of Canada's Pop Idol or Canada's Got Talent or something.

  • @chocaholic269 The newer version is just a woman. This was the original though, if I remember right.

  • @chocaholic269 The womaqn you heard singing (or imho) butchering this great song was Eva Avila

  • Thanks for posting the original version of this song. This was part of the reason I enjoyed the Canada presentation.

  • @gktwgreeter No prob. It was a great song.

  • Huh, I actually don't mind the new version of the song at EPCOT right now. I thought it stayed pretty loyal to the original tune. Heck, I thought the renovation to the ride in general was welcome. Sure, it doesn't have the same mystical feeling the original had, but I enjoyed the humor in it and how it still managed to capture Canada in a good light.

Or, maybe I just need to ride it again to clarify my thoughts. :P

  • haha so glad i found this i went in 2007 and i used to always annoy my mum my randomly singing CANADA! MY CANADA! lol

  • Hehe, glad you liked it.

  • Dude... me too!@LukeSleaa

  • I really love both versions. It's become kind of a funny joke with some of my friends, as we all randomly break out into a the chorus.

  • the newer version that disney made of this song doesn't compare to this. why do they have to ruin things. awesome song, thanks for posting

  • I know. It wasn't broken so they had to go and "fix" it. :P

  • TY! while i like the new film this song did NOT desereve the "pop" treatment

  • I definitely agree.

  • This is by far the best song that the Canada Pavillion ever had, this version is the best. Can't say much for the newer versions.

  • I found the show online and heard the song and absolutely loved it!! I'm from Alberta myself and it is a wonderful place in the summertime. Thank you for posting this song here!!

  • No problem. Happy to share.

  • I used to work for Disney over 20 years ago and that is how long I have been looking for this song. I can't believe I finally found it on Youtube. Why didn't I check before? Thank you for posting it. I would go to this exhibit at Epcot over and over just to listen to this song. Do you know where I can download it or who sings it? Thank You!!

  • I'm so glad you enjoyed this. This is why I put these songs up. I wanted people to hear them again and enjoy them. These rides and shows made an impact on me. I can get you the song. I'll PM you.

  • I have been waiting for years to listen to this song over and over again. When I go to Epcot this song brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. I love this song.

  • Oh glad to help. Enjoy.

  • Aw, you're welcome. Glad to share.

  • Thanks for the memories. While I was enjoying the music and scenery my three kids fell asleep.

  • I had the same reaction. I thought it was going to be so boring because it wasn't a "ride" and I was so wrong. The song really won me over. Yes, I went the first year it opened and having been going on and off over the years.

  • Perfect music about the USA brother..

  • Do you create the slide shows on all your Epcot videos? If so, Their absolutely Amazing! Thank you again for posting these songs.... I used to have the tape with all these songs. I wore it out:)

Where did you find the CD? I would love to buy a copy.

  • Yes I made them all. I just put a bunch of images together. The Land is my favorite one because most of the pictures are mine. I got the CD when it came out in the 90s. It's sadly out of print and rare so that's why I made these videos.

  • I'm from Canada, and I'm so proud that Disney played such a beautiful song in our exhibit.. It is really patriotic and shows the beauty of our country. I can see why it made such an impression on you as a kid.

P.S. Thank you so much for putting it on YouTube. :D

  • Oh you're welcome. Yes I love this song and the movie was wonderful. They've made a more modern version of the song and I dont' think it gives you as much a sense of amazment and wonder as this did.

  • Agreed! The combonation of the English and French language is a lot more mysterious and beautiful. But Martin Short telling about our country was a bit of a counterbalance for it.

    lol XD

  • Would you happen to know who sings this version of the song?

  • The CD only says Moline. I don't know if that's the writer or the singer.

  • I just got back from Epcot. When I heard the new version, I was so afraid I'd never hear the original again, I asked a cast member. It took him a while to dig up the information, but here it is: "Canada, You're a Lifetime Journey" sung by John Zov and Juanice Charmaine. The original film ran from 1982 through early 2007.

  • Oh wow thank you for finding this out.

  • Thanks a lot for finding that out. I just came back from Epcot myself, and I was really torn up about that to. Thanks.

  • They still have the song, albeit rerecorded.

  • I watched one of the videos in my related list. I see that. No more duet. That's still a shame though because the trade off between the guy and the girl was what was so neat about this.
