All in all pretty good movie, much better than expected, couldn't see how a whole film about this could be entertaining, charming, thoughtful, and funny, but it was. However, I believe this Shaman is a healer, and is very spiritual and his first inclination it to help people, not to make money, like many of our doctors.

all religions are very shameful. and some are quite brutal. I don't know of which "tribes" you speak, but no one "gangs up" on anyone. Having lived in Africa, I can say it's true, if accused of evil-doing, prosecution is  swift. People did the same to thieves. Yet, at the same time socercery is practiced, which is considered "evil," which is not shamanism, witchcraft or herbalism, all of which is "good." There's books written by Catholic priests who became sorcercers with premission of their superiors. Fascinating reading about our potential.
