Ha, Mount Union PA, I was definitely there. I went to two of those, '83 and '84. I later moved to Southern CA and had the chance to meet Larry in a record store. He was so cool and gave me CD copies of 'In Another Land' and 'Only Visiting This Planet' He was a very eccentric cat and a great writer.
My husband is (was) the big Larry Norman fan. I started listening more because I found his lyrics to be so phenomenal. While looking on youtube for more, hubby suggested I look for "The Tune". I am now a HUGE Larry Norman fan and this piece is a perfect example of why. With his music, Larry helps me focus on what is really important while I am "visiting this planet" :).
It's moments like these that I'm really grateful for technology that enables us to enjoy things like an old film of Larry singing "the Tune". Thanks to whoever posted it. Amazing. (And thankyou Larry.)
As a songwriter, Mr. Larry Norman was and will be one of my most influential songwriters of all time. I mourn his passing as well as the rest of the contemporary christian industry. He was truly the Father of Christian Rock.
This isn't what I was looking for.

You can see in this where Keith Green got his inspiration for some of his programmatic pieces.

The guy took down his account after some very nasty Phil Keaggy fans harrassed him. It's a shame. He had some great videos.
