  • Wish I was born in the late 50's, early 60's, that way I could've been around for the 70's!

  • @toomanyminges so agree! I want to transport myself into the Dolorian and re-live those times for 1 week and get dressed up all and play the part. Studio 54, Boogie Nights, Chips, Charlies Angels you name it!! I would do it. Time for another theme party :)

  • Long Live the 70s!

  • Picking up the pieces. Big Jim loves playing this on 70ps dot com

  • so awesome

  • I can't help it. He'll always be Marky Mark in his tighty whities, surrounded by his funky bunch singing Good Vibrations. It's such a sweeeeet sensation! I love this guy!

  • Sorry, nothing awesome going on in the 70's - we were well past the real greats of the 60's, and too early for the angst of the "preppy" 80's, the sad advent of "AIDS," let alone the angst filled consumption expensive expansion of the American wasteband, of the 90's plus. Lets just say, everything looks good in retrospect.

  • @ldefaria1 If anything the 70's were the special era where the pill provided convenient and safe contraception and all STD were treatable with antibiotics. Sounds awesome to me.

  • travolta vs whalberg

  • You're absolutely right! This was one of the top scenes in one of the top movies of the whole 90's. You know something that is really tops? Watermelon. Fresh, cool, satisfying watermelon.

  • I HAVE to learn this entire dance scene

  • I love this movie, but in my opinion this is the only good performance Mark Wahlberg has given.

  • I swear to you this song is sampled in The Beastie Boys' - "Hey Ladies." Great film, great music.

  • @gmu2 - you're right, this track - 'Machine Gun' by the Commodores - was sampled in 'Hey Ladies'.

  • 1 of these days I'm gonna get those steps......lol.

  • @MsL0vie me too God damn it, me too.

  • wow! he's rocking it!

  • sex, drugs, women on the pill no hiv/aids to worry about. PARADISE

  • Boogie Nights awesome movie!!!!

  • HubertandClyde is a child rapist.

  • I know that the youth today are not having the fun we had in 1975. I thank god that I grew up in the 70's

  • @johnex3303 that depends on who you ask. Trust me, the youth is living it up still

  • @johnex3303 Check out Empy Foxman Remix :)

  • best scene ever

  • almost everything about this movie was pretty perfect.

  • Esta escena dan ganas de fabricar una maquina del tiempo para plantarse en los 70 para salir de fiesta.

  • GO Go aDisco

    Yeah. Yeah.

  • THIS IS SO SWEET CAUSE ITS SO 70'S

  • Whalberg has bulked up since then.

  • @RomeoKGT Ya , he lost some weight from all the screwing in this movie. haha

  • i love that blonde.lol

  • Great dance thank you!*****5

  • bad ass movie!

  • fuck you corporations

  • @WinchesterQDouche how is that offensive because it was posted on 9/11? I don't see any reference to 911 in the video.

  • Have to find out who she is. She can move.

  • Kewl.

  • ahh... to be a porno actor in the seventies. It must have been a helluva time!

  • Oh dear God...I think my mom had that exact same jumpsuit.

    Fucking awesome.

  • the fact that you know that is kinda creepy. my guess? your 28 and still living at home. get a job

  • What? Uh, no, we're just like normal families and have PICTURES from back when. When you get a job yourself, I hope you'll learn how to spell.

  • this scene seriously makes me want to dance and live in the 70's...

i wish i saw this in theaters...seems like pure escapism!!!

even though theres a HORRIBLE DRUG DEAL lol..which was also well done.

  • cool

  • The 70's were fucking AWESOME.

  • indeed they were!!!!

I wish they'd bring that music back....

  • @DizzaTheDon So were the 80's...and the 60's...And the 50's.....Some of the 2000's... the 90's had NOTHIIIING....

  • @xlerosx you know that this movie is from the 90's? right?

  • @Vatoxido

yes, What are you talking about?

  • @DizzaTheDon sex drugs and disco!!! lol

  • @DizzaTheDon So Fucking agree!!! Totally. This is my fave scene :) Got it tonight on DVD brand new for the collection :)

  • Great scene and good movie. Question though, whose the girl dancing next to Mark at the beginng. She looks familiar for some reason.

  • Yeah who is she? Dances spectacular, can´t find anything of her

  • nice dance!

  • Commodores - "Machine Gun". Excelent tune!

  • ELECTRIC SLIDE isn't it?

  • that song is "machine gun" with the commodores and lionel ritchie

  • it is not about the song, i am talking about the dance type i was teached 5 years ago. Some american priests were in the camp where we had a leader's weekend of our organisation. so they said so :)

  • The only organized dance that the group does is the Hustle.

  • the awesome dancing and the awesome Mark Whalberg.

  • I can't get enough of this scene!!It brings back so many memories of when my older brother and sister would have to babysit me when my mother went out for the evening and then my brother and sister would invite all of their friends over, put on a disco record and practice these moves all night long.Great stuff!!!

  • everytime I see this scene the song Hey Ladies by the Beastie Boys is what I think of. I am pretty sure the Beasties sampled it.

  • it's so very 70s...it looks like it's really in the 70s...it's very well done!..love it!

  • this is the only scene in the film that lives up to it's title!

    i'll give it that.

  • ha ha ha ,heather graham is still on her skates danceing :)lol

  • absolute brilliance - notice how the camera zooms in then out then back in again in perfect harmony with the action - absolute quality from pt anderson

  • yes i like that part too!

  • great scene..very 70s..it's a pity its from such a stupid movie..sorry but i don't like Boogie Nights!

  • lmao...good onya Arius i agree with you the film is crap..but this scene is so authentic to the era..i'll give it that!

  • bull shit, this film is quality. hows it bad?

  • i just didn't like it...i found it boring!

    hope that answers your question!

    have a nice day!

  • and i'll also add it's pretentious title BOOGIE NIGHTS...i thought it was about disco and the 70s...it's just about a guys dick!

    i rest my case!

  • whattt? the setting was the 70's into the 80's...obviously theres going to be a story that surrounds that time... just like any other movie.

Look at war films, they may be set during a certain war but the film itself would generally portray a character during the war (ie. Full Metal Jacket)

its not pretentious at all. I'm not sure you even know what that means.

  • how would i know? by you maybe saying what it means and saying how the title Boogie Nights is pretentious?

you just come across as some 14 yr old air head

  • the only air head here my friend is you...cause you can't accept the fact that some people are different and they don't like pornography cause thats what this film is and most "normal" people don't...but speaking "of coming across"..you come across as a pervert...cause only perverts would like a film like this pretentious(meaning fake)yes i do know what it means...tripe!

so get a life my friend!

you can consider yourself ignored now..cause i'm not wasting my time with you anymore..cya!

  • Were you also stunned that the movie "Juno" wasn't about Roman mythology? Or that "Atonement" wasn't about Jesus?

Seriously, the definition of an airhead is a person who thinks that because of a title, they all of a sudden know what a movie is about. If you went into the theater thinking it was going to be about disco dancing and were caught unawares by the fact that it was about the porn industry, maybe you should start reading reviews first.

This is a great film, no two ways about it.

  • @s50538: Indeed mate. "CrazyBoutThe70s" doesn't even know what he's on about. Saying that he thought Boogie Nights would be about the 70s and disco is about as stupid as thinking that Enter The Dragon would have been a a flm about dragons. Don't listen to the guy - he's talking out of his ass :)

  • Mark Walberg as Tony Manero!..lmao!

  • so damn cool

  • como se llama esa cancion??!!!

  • "Machine Gun" por The Commodores de 1974.

  • heels

  • someone told me that this film is based on real events... does anyone know if this film is based on a true story?????

  • Boogie Nights is loosely, again loosely based

on 70's porn legend John Holmes. Dirk has Brock

Landers and Holmes used the name Johnny Wadd,

even the end of Boogie Nights is loosely based

on Holmes involvement in the Wonderland drug

house killings. Actually Val Kilmer played

    Holmes in the movie Wonderland.

  • This is a movie inspired by John Holmes. THe version shown in the movie is about how he started and when his career in adult film industry took off. The story is line is precise. "Wonderland" is a version of John Holmes after the legend died.He became a drug addict and a pathological liar. Wonderland is a great film.

  • o rite, thanks for clearing that up.

  • Read "The Other Hollywood" by Legs McNeil.

  • my dancing is bad, very bad =(, any suggestion?

  • it's right out of "Saturday Night Fever"

  • what do you call this dance? Is there a Saturday Night Fever clip on youtube, of this dance???I wish I could dance like Brock Landers.

  • I'm sure there is. But rent the film. It's good, a great time capsule of the 70's disco movement.

  • When they were all dancing in formation in unison, we called that a Line Formation Hustle in the 70s, but there were all sorts of variations of it. There used to be these little paperback books you could get in bookstores in the mid-70s that showed you all the steps to the dances.

  • that's awesome. Thanks so much for your comment. I'd like to learn this move, I guess I have to check out a dance studio. The cast was awesome in this sequence.

  • He does kinda dance like a 70s white guy... very 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and back step 3 and 4 and turn around 5, 6, lol. Great scene nonetheless.

  • He is so light on his feet

  • Boogie Nights was one of the top 10 Movies of the 90s.

  • @magickmatt138 mark wahlberg = hot!!

  • @magickmatt138 No of all time.

  • lol. mark wahlberg is a classic. i love him. XD

  • dirk diggler we love you!!!!!
