  • "In summary, Twitter is an insignificance awareness engine." - priceless!

This is both funny and real! The Truth.

Oops, I've now used up nearly 10 minutes of life this year on the Twitter Mirror and Mania machine....

Of course, the inverse does hold too; there are many joining the rush to wdevote chunks of life towards Twitter "significance".

  • Follow me @music_is_mymind

  • Follow me on twitter @Gaffercake21. And if you tweet me saying you are awesome or something. I always reply right back. It's better if you write back to people who are following you.

  • My friend I am here to say twitter is DEAD! Twitter is now a place where 13 year old girls and 16 year old skaters / slackers / stoners hang out and tweet about such mindless shit! You want to kill yourself after the first 3 tweets you read!

  • Any old 10 year old can make a fake account with a fake picture and say they're a celebrity, the power of the internet... That's why you should never try to make celebrities ignore you through the internet.

  • people who expect replies from celebrities are idiots. i used to be one of them.

  • I'm just glad that Olivia Newton-John was not talked into $cientology by crazy Travolta...

  • dalai lama celebrity? u retard or what\? cheers

  • @apasialcool not sure this is even worth replying to but a celebrity, by definition, is a 'famous or well-known person'. the dalai lama is a VERY famous person

  • @samuelkeshon no, why would it be?

  • @samuelkeshon arnold schwarzennigger haha

  • @samuelkeshon hahaha

  • Twitter is the mediocrity medium, a dedicated mumbling to yourself service, it's top client... Lady Gaga, second is Britney Spears, that should explain a lot, it's another engineered proletariat-pen for the Internet's bewildered, perpetually monitored by those in authority (much like Farcebook) and i wouldn't touch it with yours to be honest, the air-rifle of advertising is lining up a shot now...aiming.... PHUT! right in your sorry tweeting A-hole... now tweet that!

  • @pcvideogamer I've always seen Twitter as a symptom of a culture that has taken self-absorption to a whole new and somewhat terrifying level.

  • @Revinita yes that could be true, it's commodification of our thoughts, feelings and interactions for the people who own twitter (and farcebook) - i blame the 'celebrities' who were paid to promote the service on talk-shows when it first started up, now we all think its part of a great internet revolution, any so called 'tweet' from a mobile device also records your location data as 'twitter' bought a GPS service last year, were just revenue generating units, nothing more.

  • sigueme en twitter atravez de @gusmatine

  • LETTER (noun); Ancient form of email, still sometimes used by lawyers etc.

ENVELOPE (noun); Pre-digital zipped folder (made from tree pulp!!)

    STAMP (noun); Self-adhesive money

  • i want to go out with this guy

  • Twitter is for boring people who usually just love to hear themselves talk yet have nothing interesting to say. blah blah blah blah blah zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

  • well put

  • Twitter, where "you can be ignored by celebrities in real time... allows you to experience the same disappointment (as when celeb doesn't answer snail mail) but almost instantaneously... which makes me feel sort of pathetic, really. In conclusion Twitter is basically an insignificance awareness engine." Excellent definition!

  • man i dont know why but i love this videos

  • @Damukra because in those videos grey guy telling truth and that truth actually is funny

  • he looks really smart! xD

  • i love you sexually...... hahaha

  • Tweet this

  • This channel is number one channel on YouTube. Ought to be.

  • "Insignificance Awareness Engine" - good one.

  • LOL! Twitter does make things a lot faster for everyone!

  • Dear Olivia Newton-John,

My name is Graham Murkett and I am 13 years old. I recently saw you playing the role of Sandy in the musical movie Grease, and I was very affected by your performance. (I didn't like you so much at the beginning of the movie but at the end when you were dressed all sexy and smoking a cigarette I got an erection in my pants.)

  • @sirtoiletpot where else are you gonna get an erection.. oh yea on your head

  • Comment removed

  • I would like to marry you and come to live in your house in Hollywood (I cannot invite you to live with me in my house because my parents do not approve). Please let me know if this will be possible.

If it is not possible can we at least be pen-pals?

    I love you, Sexually,

    Graham

  • @sirtoiletpot

    dude,chilax.don't be desperate.

  • What is YouTube for?

  • @orangemonkey92 copyright infringement :P

  • I'm going to tweet him... haha

  • justin replys to his fans. well not all of them but he does try. some celebs r just too lazy to do it. it's not hard to reply to one or two ppl.

  • Bravo sir, you have correctly defined Twitter

  • Hmm, why does McAfee flag your website red?

  • Haha, wow, great,

  • Thats how im going to end my letters "I love you, sexually -Jake"

  • Well I got a reply back from Stephen Fry, Jamie Oliver and Robbie Williams... but this is mainly true and it made me laugh.

  • one of the funniest videos on youtube

  • How many times do you get away with this--to take a woman, grab her upside down and burry her face in a toilet bowl?

  • LMAO at the letter. Pause and read the letter!

  • "insignificance awareness engine" lmfao

  • I love you sexually

  • @wolfvision i follow back

  • lmao epic =))

    and twitter IS fucking useless

  • i just discovered somegraybloke videos.

    love them.

    20 minutes ago i disconnected my satellite service[suspended for 6 month,really]

and was warried that i'll go postal without it,in a few days.

    two events are totally unrelated.

with somegraybloke and 'the office' bits i am less warried if i'll survive without tv.

thanks to all who go on,creating, compiling, etc.

    cheers

  • @gennadiouzounian Have you seen the Facebook one?

  • LOVE U SEXUALLY LMFAO!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm not sure if im laughing more at the voice of this cartoon character, the look of it , or the content of what he is saying .

    But i laughed .

  • Dear Olivia Newton - John...... :-))

    Hillarious!

  • LoL I love you sexually, Garham Stay classy somegreybloke

  • @somegreybloke

    Genius.

Do you know you can even 'Purchase Twitter Friends' now?...and via PayPal?!

    Oh, the ironing.

  • thats so true, i hate when they go like "hey, i just bought this, do you guys like it?" but when you answer to them they never answer back..then whats the fucking point of it!...dont ask us anything if u obviously dont give a fuck. this video is just BRILLIANT!

  • I literally laughed out loud at 1:36! xD Wonderful sort of humour, I love it!

  • @augenliedfilm iiiiii second THAT!

  • Wow. When you said that it was an "Insignificance Awareness Engine" I actually had to pause the video because I started laughing so hard. Pure fucking brilliance.

  • eh, this is not completely true. i've been replied to by pete wentz and alexander deleon, so you occasionally get answers xD

  • This is a riot!

  • Lool, insignifigance awareness engine...

  • Great video man, well done!

  • why do european people say cheers for goodbye?

  • @MaggogZ It's more of a 'thank you' than a 'goodbye' , I must admit I use it quite a lot in that context!

  • @MaggogZ

    Jak się masz?

  • @MrConredsX I'm all good, and you?

  • LOL

  • As mostley from somegreyblock - WONDERFUL

  • oh man you make me laugh so much :D

  • well... the conan movies were quite nice.

  • This may be news to you, Graham, but Twitter is not the fastest at delivering rejection.

Live broadcast sites like Skype, BlogTV, and Stickam actually allow you to connect your Webcam LIVE to the Internet, where you can be summarily ignored and rejected by thousands of celebrities and average people alike. And in Real Time.

    Believe me, it's exhilarating.

    Be Well.

  • LMAO! So true, so very f'kn true! Speaking of which...Obama, what the hell?! Why don't you at least take my fabulous advice about stopping the oil spewing out with flash-freezing, then cap it off, like I tweeted to you days ago about! You are ignoring so many people's good and great ideas on stopping the awful oil leak and we are all SICK of your BS and want REAL CHANGE FOR GOOD FOR A CHANGE, got it Pres. Bam-Bam?! Good. ;o)

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo

  • If Alyssa_Milano brought you here thumbs up!!!

  • Alyssa_Milano says:

This made me laugh. And yes, it has happened to me too. What Twitter is for (video)...

  • An insignificance awareness engine LOL.

  • What a coinkydink. I too have been ignored by Jonathan Ross, as well as Stephen Fry. I like being ignored by smart, British celebrities, because it makes me feel less bad. Like they've clearly got more important things to do than to reply to my tweet, but it's okay, because they're smart and British, so... they probably do have more important things to do. Or smarter, Britisher things...

  • Good work :D I'm gonna borrow the "insignificance awareness engine" down the pub tomorrow. Genius lol :D

  • Stephen fry tweeted this. I don't think you can complain about being ignord any more.

  • @BillyBobsEel Yes, I too come here at Mr Fry's recommendation.

  • Feelt a bit touched by this film. Who should we complain to if a celeb doesn`t answer? Do twitter have a service for that?

  • This is funny... I needed a laugh. You r great!!!

  • this is wonderful, and wxplained twitter perfectly. Thanks. ms. usa

  • I love ya some grey bloke

  • Ha!~ Funny lol yep that's about the size of it :)

  • Stephen Fry has tweeted this, expect a massive influx of views.

  • @smameann That's who sent me here. Is that a good or a bad thing, I'm very confused now?

  • if i ever become Famous i will try and reply to letters and tweets. Darren Shan writes back to EVERYONE who writes to him. my friend has a letter from him xD

  • Tweeting to celebrities is like playing the lottery. Me, i got Nick Pitera to reply to me twice, so i'm happy ^_^

Well, do you KNOW what the odds for lottery winnings are!?

  • This is brilliant on so many levels! Cheers mate!

  • Stephen fry sent me!

  • haha brilliant x

you got acknowledged by a celebrity on twitter! hehe

  • haha brilliant x

  • Brilliant!!

  • very funny indeed should always reply or retweet when a celebrity tweets

  • Pause the vid and read the letter. It's epic.

  • Hey Steven Fry tweeted this ;D not all celebritys are asses

  • @somegreybloke When ever I reply to a celebrity, they never reply. Infact, I can be almost certain that no-one will reply to this.

  • @thedoctorand your reverse psychology worked D: i replied

  • I don't Tweet, but please feel free to ignore this.

  • This is what I love, 2 of Britains greats talking to each other on Youtube :D

  • Comment removed

  • LOL at the letter

  • twitter is for people who like it up the shitter

  • I just use Twitter to get info from Andy Farrant and Dan Maher. They are the Presenters of most of the Videos on Xbox Live for Britain/England, not sure which.

  • posted the URL for this on Ricky Martin's fan page

  • Twitter is rubbish. Don't see the point in why people feel the need to tell the world what they are doing very few minuets.

  • @jondea0

    Bach wrote very few minuets.

  • @averyellis well, you see there are some curious people that update their statuses after listening to each minuet =)

  • I am now going to tweet this video to all celebrities I follow on Twitter.

  • This video is pure genius.

  • olivia newton john.lol.great video.

  • "Insignificance awareness engine" :D...love it!!

  • The Sega Company has replied to me a few times :)

  • haha this is so true. great work

  • That is excellent.

  • Brilliant satire on Twitter

  • mike, i'm still awestruck by the fact you manage to let some fucking idiots with no real grasp of reality piss you off. but thats easy for me to say as i dont have as many subbies as you. it would be nice if at least one of my grunting fuckwits left a comment at all. anyway the chinese porn was a bit disapointing as i really couldnt tell who was who. i did try to post this at your blog site, but with all that google account multipassword bollocks not working i got bored and came here instead.

  • Funny as always.

  • It would have been funny if he actually got a response.

  • I have received responses by some celebrities. I see the humour.... sort of. And I don't drink

  • I think I might go and make a Twitter account especially so you can shun me.....

    Excellent video as always :)

  • Justin Bieber does too know what the word "German" means. He just can't read it when it's written with a New Zealand accent - I love this

  • This video is very deservedly getting a lot of twitter replies from some famous people, although that is risking a tear in the comic-irony continuum...

  • I'm very much enjoying the irony. It's the second best bit of irony I've seen today, though ironically it's better than the best bit of irony because it doesn't involve anyone dying.

  • @somegreybloke Even more enjoyable is the knowledge that there must be thousands of celebs who appreciate the irony so much that they realise the only way they can show that appreciation is by not replying. You should start thanking everyone who has not replied individually, via twitter.
