@pommyrooter yeah its not too bad with the helmets on... I've been up a couple of times with air cadets cause one of our old cadets flies them now and took us up in one :D but after 10 mins or so you get pretty used to it

but its bloody cold at night!!!

I noticed, the flight engineer or crew chief, raised the ramp

after, he started to float up.

You want a kick, try a high level hover at 10000 feet, then, turn off the

engines, do a glide path to the ground and pull pitch at touch down.

While at 10000 foot hover, I put my hand out and touch a cloud, that

was passing by. Now, that is a kick. Loved flying in the CH47.

Still miss it, after 27 years ago. I left the army in 1983.

@fourtrains I'm at Rucker for flight school right now. I'll be a 60 pilot (reservists don't go by OML). I haven't started IERW yet but the mere thought of autorotation makes by balls shrink!

its the flight engineer. does some of the loadmaster stuff but also runs things in the back. clears the aircraft and what not
