  • eric clapton made a better version tbh

  • are those fender pro jr?

  • I'm speechless every time I hear JB play. He has a touch and feel that only angels have. Love it

  • As a guitar player myself, I find this astounding and inspiring! Jeff Beck is a master of the electric guitar! I can't think of another guitar player who is so devoted to expanding and reinventing the way he plays.

  • I'm sorry but this is so nail bitingly bad, you can tell even jeff at the end is like "damn that was bad", it sounds like the sort of thing you'd hear on some cheesy 80's movie, his girlfriend's just left him and he picks up his guitar and plays this tripe. the strings were nicely arranged, just way rather hear someone sing it.

  • omg that was awesome.

  • Man, he is so good

  • other members of the band are watching him play, totally blown away! it's like molasses coming out of his guitar... every note is a surprise to me!

  • Beautiful.

  • I can't hear the sound! WTF!

  • He ballsed this up the first time on tv - he even slaps his head in disbelief after the performance.

  • @KennethMcElroy01 ha ha! i saw that it was only a tiny mistake, He must be a perfectionist tho

    .

  • Those harmonics at 2:05 make me fly. Yeah, Fly.

  • it's half three in the morning and i cannot stop listening to jeff beck. he's just too awesome

  • the greatest living electric guitarist performing the greatest tune of the 20th century....phwoar !!!

  • i remeber seeing jeff on the jools holland show a few years ago and he blew the audience away with his skill but the funniest thing was after jeff had finished playing the guitar player in the next band on must have had his ego destroyed because instead of playing the rythym to his bands song he started trying to impress beck by playing solos in the middle of the song thats the affect beck had on him

  • @shredmaster100 and to top it off, getting on stage after jeff beck must be pretty overwhelming knowing the crowd just heard such and amazing musician. Now you gotta play your ass off to even get somewhat of a reaction from the already amazed crowd

  • i know ive played on a similar show before when i used to be a backup guitarist and had to follow marty friedman it was in london back about 2004 and marty came on with his band and kicked ass and then the band i was playing in at the time came on and we sucked badly i was so stunned by his playing that i completly messed up the song we were supposed to be doing and just started sweep picking and generally showing off i tell u it took more than a few beers to forget that performance

  • To the right of the screen you see the band members all still in their tracks, watching this man make magic with six strings.

  • Oh, I agree. pure talent and emotion. We are just so lucky to be living

with all of this great talent

  • i started listening to jeff in 1969. he has always pushed the limits.love him. ty for posting this

  • @FrauWausW:

Meine Gedanken, meine Seele, sind bei Dir wenn ich DAS höre.... ich kann Dich nur bitten: mach was draus...

  • GENIAL!!!! brilliant!!!

  • The Wizard; Will they wait until he dies to admit he's the greatest?

  • I can appreciate the abilities and artistic license taken here as his jazz and rock backgrounds are shown. He has the guitar sounding like a theremin. His take on this classic has the guitar "singing" the words, much like a saxophone is known. Now taking all of that in to consideration, I think his efforts would better serve his listeners using a different song. This one just does not fit his efforts.

  • @pdm1289 Does pdm stand for paradigm? You are in one my friend.

  • Fucking disapointing this was

  • AMAZING; so beautifull

  • Nice work, great use of the volume knob = whammi bar. Jeff dont play no wrong notes. Hes a master.

  • other band watching: "wtf!! we have to play after this?"

  • piano guy's headbangin!!!...hahahah!!!

  • is that Steve Vai ??

  • What "wrong" notes? Theyre about as perfect as any1 else ive ever heard , if not better...he plyes with feeling , heart and never drops any notes! Great stuff!~

  • beautiful sound.really nice!

  • magic

  • Impeccable, how come my strat doesn't make sounds like that? I'll keep trying though!!

  • Totally messed up, what a dork, fucking idiot, go learn how to play guitar like him. you must be a shredding stupid yank.

  • @11kirky Haha good man. You tell him.

  • feeling!

  • What happend in this version??? JB is totally messed up. Can't believe it!

    guitar-tube dot c o m slash watch slash jeff-beck-somewehere-over

  • If I were a figure skater, I'd skate to this.

  • his nose is massive. love his style of music though, one of a kind :)

  • mesmorising and hypnotic

  • BEAUTIFUL, THAT'S IT

  • It sux...

  • The best part of this video (not the playing) is at 1:55, the other band watching on the right are mesmerized. JB, a true legend!

  • @MrMeddled After a small look on your channel, I can say you're the typical kind of people I dislike. Pretentious. "I listen to Pink Floyd you don't ? You obviously listen to shitty music then" Haughty. Dude, we both listen to great kind of musics, but there's nothing to brag about. That's what I call vanity. "Wisdomless" way to live.

  • @MrMeddled They've been hundreds like you before that told me the exact same thing on my first comment.. After that, you say I'm an insecure kid that play trough pcb-driven marshall full stack. Why do you judge me that way ? Dude you also should know that the Marshall JTM45 reissue, for example, is PCB driven. You told me I was using my eyes before my ears, but it seems you're the type of guy who look after the quality of the amp before the sound it makes. You're very illogical.

  • @MrMeddled This has nothing to do with this conversation. Does it ? I feel good with myself if that's what you wanna know. Stop judging people on the internet, this is pathetic. Act your age.

  • @MrMeddled Damn, you people don't fucking understand a word of what I said. I said I was impressed because he has the balls to come on stage with two fucking mini amps instead of a big full stack like all the famous guitarists do. I don't really give a fuck about Jeff Beck, I don't like his music, but I acknowledge he's a brilliant guitarist that doesn't need expensive gear to make something good. You judge me and you don't even know who I am. I'm playing inexpensive gear and I'm happy with it.

  • See kids. THAT'S how you use a Whammy Bar CORRECTLY

  • 0:28 perfect

  • @onlyGiovanni Yeah, his whammy bar prowess is second to none.

  • Fucking amazing

  • @ChucklesMginty That's why I say this. He can get good tones out of anything.

  • i jizzed.

  • Simply the master.

  • Jeff Beck is in his own class!! He is still relevant after all these years and his phrasing is unreal!!

  • Jeff Beck just stop a Twister in Kansas with that song!!! true story!

  • Jeff Beck lives for the guitar.

  • @tkbabalu the guitar lives for Jeff Beck~

  • anyone know if he's tuned down half a step? been trying and failing to find those harmonics!!!!

  • @gibsonlespaul2008 scrap that, i worked it out...impossible to get though :)

  • @gibsonlespaul2008 Tune down half-step and try again

  • He's using two blues/pro juniors... With a shitty cab. I didn't know rockstars could play affordable equipement

  • @arioz1 ? it's all in his hands.

  • He proves that amazing playing is not all about shredding

  • @ra83clement

    Who said it was? ;-)

  • He plays like no one else. Not the normal sound from a Strat. Amazing.

  • ESPECTACULARRRRRR!!!!!!!

  • and he's playing through PRACTICE AMPS...just goes to show it's all in the hands!

  • @rickystinks1 Blues juniors aren't really practice amps...its my main gigging amp :P

  • @LESTERHUBCAP you could not play with that touch if you had arthitus in the fingers, lad. jog on...

  • Wonderful*****

  • According to Mike Elred of Fender Custom Shop, Beck is using Pro Jr's now.

  • He's still my fave. If you want to hear a mistake, on the newer one with Jools Holland Drown In My Own Tears, listen to at the 3:08 mark, it's actually a wrong note.

  • @ekpil jeff beck doesn´t play wrong notes... he just plays notes wich aren´t that perfect in our ears ^^

  • @maxkaschhimself Believe me Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist in the world and all time ,however I have been playing guitar for 45 years and at the 3:08 mark it is an obviously wrong note.

  • @TUUK2006 Perhaps you should read a little more carefully.

  • @ekpil Is that all you got buddy? What a child.

  • @TUUK2006 Perhaps you should read a little more carefully.Refer to my first comment to help yourself understand.

  • @maxkaschhimself there is no such thing as "wrong" notes. this word does not fit in music.

  • is he using 2 Fender blues jr??

  • This was the 2nd attempt coz he fukked up the 1st when it was live.

  • @Englandsbestlover Wow Id love to hear that. Do you have the audio or video?

  • @ekpil: No sorry. It was only a note or 2 out here and there but even i noticed it and im no expert. What he done must be sooo hard tho so even the best balls up at times :-) Oh it is on youtube somewhere coz i saw it afew months ago.

  • bare love for this!

    seeing it live was amazing!

  • bare love for this!

  • I forgot to breath during that whole tune.

  • Genius on a six string.

  • headbanging pianist FTW!

  • @ablasse he's directing the string section.

  • What key does he play this in? Its amazing!

  • Simply exquisite

  • His guitar gently wept....... as did I.

  • Pendejaso el que le puso que no le gusta !!!

  • wonderfullllllll............

  • i went to see him in cardiff on monday he played this the man is outstanding x

  • Are you kidding me? Transcending!

  • wonderful !!!!!

  • ...great vid from this old song and - a genial Jeff Beck ;-)

  • Was he using a Fender Pro Jr here???

  • @sunnibird no he used his signature strat

  • That sound that he can coax from the Strat is truly the real voice of Jeff. What hasn't already been said about Jeff's skills as a guitarist? The Master.

  • Love it, It's a really emotional take to it...

  • Sweet........this Bless my heart

  • Just saw this tour in Atlanta ast night (Jun 11), fantastic......!

  • This was the second performance of this because on the Tuesday night show he fucked up lol. He's still the greatest tho!!

  • That pianist/conductor just made my day, what a legend! : ) Oh I loved the performance as a whole to ofc ^^

  • @jon2cool yeah it is cool to see someone guitar face on a piano or rather piano face.
