the audition is in front of other people as you can hear seth rogen in the background along with others.......and the audition basically followed the script i think there was some improv cause there were some lines in there that i dont remember from the movie

You need an agent to get into the audition room, then they tape the audition. The lines are mostly memorized, but usually you have the script ("sides") while you are auditioning. I have a feeling this is not Chris' first audition. It's one of his follow up auditions to see how he interacts with the two leads (Cera and Hill).

it was an open audition. it's seth's movie so he tries everyone out that wants to audition. they just come down to a studio that seth assigns and they improvise with a basic structure of how the scene works. if they like you you will get a phone call saying you're in.

@ununknown you go in they give you a script about 15-20 minutes before you go in, you memorize as much as you can, then you do whats called a cold read, basically reciting the script, or as close as you can get, and then you read in front of the casting directors, they video tape it to have your audition on file.

It was on set, they filmed it there, and then showed it to the directors (Seth Rogan) its scripted, as a baseline, so they can see where they are, but then they have room to improv their own stuff, which makes it funnier cuz the longer they talk, the more they forget about the script and the true acting comes out (cuz it becomes real)

Yeah, I totally agree with you. You can really tell in a lot of Jonah and Michael's other films, they seem to be a lot more composed and stuff during improve, like in knocked up with the pubes sprinkled round the toilet; where as Christian seems pretty rigid in bits of Role Models.
