  • Jon Lajoie's dad?

  • dude nice but on the snare you are supposed to ride it with 16th notes like that hi hats.

  • @xXaggiesXx23 yeah, 8ths. i never knew that until after this vid. but im in a collab vid thats in the works that im doing it in.

  • nice drum solo at end

  • nice

  • cole ur hi hats it sounds horable!!!

  • Impressive.

  • nice work man, are you using td-20? is your kick the kd-120 or the kd-140v-kick? the 140 is a beast!

  • @drummerg2 thanks! yeah, i think its the120.

  • Good job...but i think it will sounds beter if you use a acoustic drum ...

  • u got ur hi-hat open to much, other than that it was almost right on

  • @hugeozzyfan1 i cant do some things with these electric hats that i can do with acoustic hats like ride on them for a partially open sound.

  • @hugeozzyfan1 oh, yes i can. i recently figured it out.

  • thanks for saying!

  • i c

  • someone tell this guy that when bohnam

played this he was using the snarr like a highhat ,and the highhat like a snare ,,bohnam played alot of things backwards and off beat ,,his greatest secret ,,a little something from little richard ,,,,keep trying ,,someday it might sound close to the master and those are they electric drums ?? get a real set ,,recylcle those rediculous things you are beating on ,,,may yuor days be great

AND REMEMBER NOTHING GOES DOWN HEAVIER THAN LED ZEPPELIN

  • i now play the snare with the hat for this song. ill probably do a vid of it. this is my most hit on vid!

  • Good point. Snare is actually all 8th notes (ghost and backbeat) correct? Same as Bun E. Carlos on "Aint that Ashame" Cheap Trick if I'm hearing correctly. It adds the "feel" and coolness factor.

  • i never even noticed it before i saw a vid of bonham doing it. i did a vid of me doing it but it got deleted by wmg. yuorpoison seems to think he was hitting hihat just for the backbeat kind of like jason bonham instructed but to me he was obviously 8thing the hihat.

  • nice

  • interesting, i recently noticed that rack tom thing. i dont think many are aware of it. and after making this vid. i learned bonham actually snare ghosted the 8ths of the beat. maybe ill do another vid.

  • That's a Roland TD-10?

That or an Alesis USB Pro.

Nonetheless, tune the cymbal down lower, IMO.

  • its a td -20. after this video i moved the mic for that cymbal. i noticed it was too harsh on a couple of my other vids. which i did do with the same settings as this vid.

  • for this song it doesnt seem to be a problem though.

  • well 1:26 - 1:27 i gues, my favorite part of the song and you copied it well

  • lolz

  • great cover, the drums are my favorite instrument for this song, most songs actually,

but you got it down pretty good. especially 1:26 my favoriiiite part

  • 1;26 is your fav part?

  • this is sweet! great job...

  • thanks for saying!

  • ha, youre right; i stay sober.

  • hey nice work dude

you are looking only a little angry :P

  • thanks for commenting!

  • thanks! its a roland electronic

  • Nice job I will get my son to copy you. Only right handed. Keep it going even I can use your clip to play guitar to. Actually what is the kit you are using?

  • yeah, i never noticed that before. i recently watched a vid of bonham ghosting 8th notes for the beat after seeing posts of people claiming that. ppp, guess thats why somebody 1 starred me bc it used to have 5

  • Nice job...only Bonham does 8th ghost notes on the snare while riding the hat. More of a shuffle than straight 4's.

  • finally i see a lefty! nice work man, you did a good job.

  • thanks! gimefi!

  • I should really learn to play drums man, I'd love to do this so damn much.

  • yea i got an electric kit there are sick

  • are you a left handed drummer

  • yeah, basically left handed for everything exept guitar. and my daughter is right handed but she likes to hold a guitar like a left hander! i told her itd be better to learn as a righty so she could play any guitar but i wont force her.

  • thats a sick drum set man

  • yeah, i love it! using earphones with it is probably damaging though; i should probably wear ear plugs under the earphones. the spongy type [memory foam at drug stores] of plugs are much more comfortable than the rubbery type.
