I hope bungie makes another FPS, that isn't halo... Halo is now just Microsoft's knight in shining armor. Their just taking the story, it's great fun, and fans and just sucking the money out of it. I as a Big halo fan, hope that halo doesn't die. It's just Microsoft by buying games to keep them just to their consoles. Exclusivity blows and I hope it just go's away. I am guessing that Halo 4 will be like Halo CE because one of the things that made Halo CE so special was the new world and new story and was mostly about the discovery about the secrets of Halo. Halo 4 will have the same: New world, New story, Discovering the secrets of the new world and all that. I think Halo 4 might just be the best game of the new trilogy like Halo CE was the best of the old trilogy but that is just a guess.

No there wasn't. The Halo series (including extended universe, books, graphic novels etc.) is about the Human-Covenant war. That ended with Halo 3 which was the conclusion of a trilogy. In order to drag the series out for as long as possible they are going to have to come up with a new story and new enemies (If it's the Forerunners, I'm going to punch a baby) and it's going to feel forced

From the view in Halo 2. when Tartarous tries to activate the Halo rings, there are SEVEN. Therefore, if Bungie were to continue with it's story line, maybe Masterchief gets found, or they introduce another character, they would have to kill off the other four rings. In the journey of/destruction of the other rings, the game would become bland and boring.
