LOL! Yes, it was a carrot! Actually, it was a "Flip" thingy, and crips the sound on those things suck! My 1st attempt at posting a super cool records, and it sounds like this!
@rockabillydj Thanks for your nice reply..wasn't expecting that! To be honest, not only can not post any clips on here, it's taken me ages just to watch them! Hell, I'm old. Thanks again for posting it. BG
Did you record this on a carrot? Only kidding. I couldnt record this any better. Thanks for putting this on YT. First record I ever bought. Billy Gibbons. UK
Shouldn't this be credited to Jim Bobo. I saw an Echo label version with that on the credits. I know that it has been attributed to Hank Mizell since the '70's.
@TheFartingPope This was probably some kind of error on the pressingplant, because i have seen original copies on EKO credited to Hank Mizell too. And the nationally distrubuted KING pressing has also the name Hank Mizell. So this is the correct :)
@rockabillydj no jet boy jet girl was after plastic bertrand and he didnot cover this song! look up plastic bertrand the one that says ca plaou moi or something....
In 1958 Hank Mizell already published "Jungle rock", with the result that the following acted - NOTHING itself! EVEN NOTHING! Only in 1976 the song became the hit also in Germany when he became republished one. At that time I was 9 years old when I " Jungle rock" with my child cassette recorder of the broadcasting "International hit parade" of the German radio station NDR 2 took up and over and over again passed the ball. A nice time, and I still loves the song. Lots of love from Germany.
The first record I used to dance around our lounge to back in the mid 70's pretending to play the guitar annoying my Mum. Thanks for the upload... Brilliant childhood memories :o)
@rockabillydj If you encode them at 360kbps and play them back through a decend hi fi system plus you need a damn good sound card too then your rocking they sound good. I have a seperate woofer too which helps a great deal. Best of luck
Right song. Right label. ( I guess) Wrong artist. Heard the song from a cassette tape in -84. I remembered some of the lyrics... and Elvis' voice I would have reconignized! But it was right song! Thank you! (I belive in people again!)
Of course many, many artists covered this song. It could have been a current 1980's artist, or one of the hundreds of artists from the 50's through the 1970's that covered Mystery Train. In any, case I hope you hear that version again someday, and hopefully the DJ will back announce who it was! ENJOY
This appeared in an episode of Bang Bang, it's Reeves & Mortimer. Probably look for "Tom Fun Derek's Birthday".

Yes, this sound sucks. I really don't know much about posting videos on this youtube crap. I thought I would just kinda share this rare 45.
I can record the MP3, and try to upload a video, but i think all MP3s SOUND LIKE SHIT. VINYL RULES.
