This particular plane is propelled by a pusher prop. Some are propelled by ducted fan engines and only the most expensive (to buy or build) are actual jets. If you want a good RC Learjet check out Kyosho's site, but I'd recommend starting on a trainer before moving to ducted fans or jets. It's never too late to live your dreams!
