My buddy played with the "Hanson Bros" (Carlson Brothers) with the St Paul Vulcans. He actually roomed with them--said they were exactly as portrayed in this movie. When Newman sent them in and they did the sign of the cross? They did that in real life before going into a game and was not written in the movie script. Classic!

clean hit, clean hit, clean hit then went for the puck and accidently hit him with his stick, goalie was out of position and in the way, good backcheck, clean hit, good forecheck and momentum carried his stick over the net, guy skated into his stick, ref was out of position, good battle in the corner, shouldnt lean over the bench, tripped over the redline, powerful shot, took a cheapshot so dropped the gloves, then they were just sticking up for teammates. i dont know why they got tossed...
