Exactly, like so many people who don't understand and are frustrated and terrified while they watch their loved one die, she is doing everything wrong, that will make her sister hate herself even more and strengthen the cycle of bulimia. Most people do not get that this is not about will, or food! I think if Ming understood what the root of the problem really was she would be at least halfway ready to help. This kind of thing only makes it all worse.
I agree, I think she does care but don't know how to go about helping her sister. In addition, she also has her own issues to work on so it would explain her frustration.
