@MsOldman54 NOTHING will make you prepared for this. The first drop, it feels like your stomach comes up to your chin. It's BUTTERFLY CITY. You will get massive butterflies. After that, the inversions make it feel like you're coming out of your seat. Not to mention, the ride is so ridiculously fast, it feels like you're coming off the rails. This may look like a weak ride, but getting on it is a whooolllee different story. It's INTENSE.

For it's size, this ride really delivers. It goes to prove that a coaster doesn't have to be a record-breaker to be a great ride. Maverick has made many top-ten steel coaster lists, including mine. I think it is CP's best ride.

I remember the first time i rode it--which was last yr-- and as we were launched, i looked over lake erie and it was such a smooth ride that i didnt no we had reached the top until we went down lol. Favorite coaster EVR!!!! Lol

maverick is SICK!! i remember the first time i rode it. that is always the best, you have NO idea what's next and that's awesome. my second favorite ride at the park afeter millenium. once you learn how to ride maverick it will never hurt you again. the airtime hills are awesome.

This is still my favorite coaster at CP. Went for Halloweekends this year and the weather was so crappy that there was like, NO ONE in the lines. We rode the Maverick 3 times in a row. Best day evar.

It looks like a 'soft' ride. But it isn't . The curves and the moves are very fast. I really liked this rollercoaster a lot.

Best coaster at the park. That greater-than-ninety-degree drop at the beginning was literally incredible—I didn't believe that was what was going on. I was completely freaked out. I would ride this all day if I could.

Other favorites: Raptor for similar twists and turns, Millennium Force for the speed, Mean Streak for the track layout, and the park train because I'm a train freak and they have a restored working steam locomotive and how is that not totally awesome.

I dont understand why they took out all the scenery....right after the drop you were supposed to go under a mine building conveyor belt....or something like that....and then at 0:29 you were supposed to go by some rocks on the left side with wooden poles over the track...just watch the animation for this ride...it would have been a lot better if they kept all those things in, maybe not the heartline roll though...

I don't see what the purpose of a 95 degree drop is. It must just be so they can say they have a 95 degree drop. Because think about it, it would be less gravitational force than a 90 degree drop. Still looks like a fun ride though.

this just may be the greatest ride at cedar point. it has everything a roller coaster should have, speed, inversions, crazy launch, 95 degree drop, etc. This ride is just non-stop, the way you thrash around the turns and right into a flip, it was just an incredible ride, one of the best I ever rode. It was worth the 90 minute wait in the scorching sun.

When I rode this for the first time we had to wait in line FOREVER! lol It was worth it...but man....the G-force on that thing was crazy. I just remember my neck & shoulders hurting a little afterward. Though my friend (who rode beside me) seemed fine... We were in the very front row. Really intense ride.

i been there 3 times this year and the first couple times i just didnt feel like waiting nearly 2 hours for it. but the last time i said WHY NOT and decided to just go for it. It was dark by the time i finally got on the ride and it was AMAZING...first time i've ever been on it, and it was crazy since i couldn't see the corkscrews and flips and stuff since it was pitch black haha. Def worth the wait, even though it can be a drag =)

that ride was THE BEST ride i've ever rode in my life!!!!!!!!!!! i wanted 2 1/2 hours to ride, and i had to fide by myself because my friend was too afraid. when you go up, it takes u up really fast. the first hill goes down with a little curves. and the scariest part is when u go thru the tunnel. it's so wild, they make u take your earrings off!!!!!!!!!!! i usually ride with my hands up all the time, but i hold on to the bar, screamming the whole time.

Just went on this a couple days ago, and it was the sickest coaster I have ever been on. Video doesn't do it justice, you have to experience it... I can't believe it's a minute long, the ride felt like maybe thirty seconds, tops. Anyone hating has NOT ridden it, it is an amazing and totally unpredictable ride with the most airtime of any coaster I've ever experienced.

The hour and a half wait was worth it, but be careful though I rode it yesterday and still have neck pain and headaches from whiplash.
