  • I saw a rocket practicing for revenue service last week, southbound at Dundas Stn. It was quieter overall and super sleek.

  • they didn't change the seats. People spill stuff on them and the stain stays there forever.

  • when will they go in service

  • @KewlBoy20 Sometime in June hopefully.

  • Are the lights LED or the old incandescent bulb. I hate the old ones. they have a yellowish tint

  • @vistarox

    The lights are LED.

  • not trying to be offensive, but this new train will get dirty by some people that rides it, cause people just leave garbage behind, thinking that someone will clean up their mess, what TTC should do is to make a no food/drink policy on all trains and platforms, except in the concourse area, just like how Hong Kong MTR does it on their trains and station

  • that looks so lovely and nice. About time to upgrade. I cant believe how old and worn out those subway cars are, been around longer than me. The seats are ripped and worn. The floors are filthy. The new cars will be easy to be accessible for those tho are disabled. The new Street cars look slick. About time they have been upgrading after killing people. The new Subway looks so crisp and clean the old ones are bolted all over and almost no shine to them

  • this train is new but with an old style

  • WHOAAAAAAA THAT WAS STUNNING!!!! ;) :D

  • Nice!!! That Subway train is wicked!! No more shrieking brakes!!

  • @1:57 and on comes the piss-stain mobile

  • When do they use this new train?

  • I saw one of these today at davisville. they're so nice. can't wait for them today be in service

  • @ttc2353

The TR has a smooth ride but it is a lot slower then the T1 trains, this has to do with having fewer motors.

  • Just one more thing. The front look seems quite similar to those city rail cars in New China. Probably a design of Northern Stock, a Chinese subway train builder. Maybe due to its partnership with Bombardier.

  • I just wonder how the powertrain sounds on these new trains. Probably Bombardier IGBT motors as on the Chinese CRH1 semi-high-speed trains.

  • @xblkman - The TR subway cars were on power. The TTC personal can't drive the TR because they are not trained yet to drive it, which is why they were pushing it.

  • @ttc2353 But they have since been trained and the TR subway cars can now operate under its own power.

  • Nice!!!

  • Unfortunately though, passengers may not be able to see the front of the train because of the driver cab's width, will there be a one-way mirror making it limited for passengers to see the front like the current SRT trains have, or they will not see the front of the train at all?

  • heard about these on the news

  • CORRECTION: This 234 subway car order will be replacing the remaining H-series fleet, (H4, H5 and H6) series trains.

  • @AlexRampaul - Wrong, this 234 trains will be is replacing H4/H5 series. The next 186 batch will be replacing the H6 series.

  • @ttc2353 I believe the entire the entire H-series fleet would be removed from the TTC by the end of 2013 is that right?

  • @AlexRampaul - Yes.

  • @ttc2353

    Man tht sucks

really like the H5's and H4's

    dont like the H6 thugh

  • @ttc2353

why would they replacing the H5's and H4's

it seams to me that the H5's are in way better condition than the H6's

They run better and are more comfortable and quieter

  • @TheAcinNetwork - It has to do with the age. H4's were built in 1974-75, while H5's were built 1976-79.

  • @ttc2353

    Yah ur right,

but dont u feel that the H5's seem to be in better overall quality

  • Man it looks great.

  • thank's alot man.

    will it be on everywhere?

    or only downtown area?

I mean will it be on the (Green Line)

Sherbourne, Castle Frank, Broadview, Pape, Chester , etc..

  • @RunescapePwnerhunter - Only the YUS is getting them.

  • @crabman: According to Wikipedia, as the TR gradually comes into service the H4s, H5s, and H6s are going to be phased out...the page also says that the TR will enter revenue service starting December 2010

  • As long as the H6 and the T1 are still in service, I'll be happy :)

  • @crabman66606 I think they will be phasing out the H-6 subway trains in the coming years.

  • i like the T1 and H series more than the TR

  • The Rocket train is sick!

  • It has a front end like an updated version of the old NYC Subway R40 "Slant" car.

  • love the sound of the H5 :P my video didn't seem to catch that.

  • The T1 sounds like a crying baby! LOL

  • Good job TTC2353.

  • Augh, I wish I skipped school to see this.

  • @ttcgeek I feel for you, man. I wished the same thing.

  • Did it come out of the tails?

  • @ttcgeek - Yes.

  • I love the new ttc :)

    is it out yet?

  • @RunescapePwnerhunter - It won't be in service until next year. They have to do testing, training, etc.

  • Very good footage...toronto seems to be where i need to take my next vacation...a lot of stuff is changing on the transit front...I LOVE IT...Keep the videos coming...

  • @LightRailChic If you're into streetcars as well, give it a couple more years until we get our new LRT's.

  • I like how once the T1 came, everyone stopped filming except you. :P

  • @vivablue5215 - LOL

  • @vivablue5215 actualy, transitfusion kept filming too

  • @vivablue5215 actually there was another guy filming it too. he was further down the station. Just watch the end of "Toronto Rocket Tour" by transitfusion in the Suggestions.

I'm not sure how i noticed.....I am soo damn creppy >_<
