  • which style do you practice?

  • I help teach kids an I wish they were as good an focused as yours ! good job an respect.

  • Great Stuff, I do have my clubs, and taught Jujitsu to student from 7yrs and above. I found that these kids are well trained and under good supervision, thanks to their Sensei. I did tkd for 13yrs and as any Martial Arts it has its own benefit and its a noble art. respect to you and your training. You are doing a great job.. Peace on you

  • teakwondo is shit

  • Diffirent schools have diffirent regulations for diffirent belts.

  • what school is this? those kids look like they are doing well but is there like a junior program for them or something? Unless they can do what an adult can do(form and the power to take down another adult) I believe they should not get a black belt unless its a "kid version".

  • how are they black belts? and they are holding a pole ?

  • Honestly i was genuily surprised by their side kick, it was high, their legs where straight and they werent shaking, when im training my kicks i still hold onto a pole or the wall because its training the kick not balance

  • He's obviously teaching proper technique. Even as black belts kids tend to fall into bad habits watching other kids or instructors do it wrong. There is nothing wrong with using the pole. My son has really good balance but I have him hold onto a chair to increase his reps. Next he should work on power. The only one of those kids that showed it was the smallest boy.

  • Very Nice training and very nice technique. These are clearly black belt kids. They show Respect, they Show Discipline, they show impressive martial arts skills for they age group. Congratulations. As for the use of the poll: it is a great tool for improvement. I remember training with Grand Master Soon Ho Lee with a poll and it was one of the best side kicks training I had!

  • wow so called blackbelts holding a pole.... impressive

  • @DBKK why do you feel the need to be disrespectful to the kids in the video.

  • @myosource Who said anything about disrespecting the kids? Don't put words into my mouth. In ITF white belts lean against the wall or a poll in order to learn the proper technique, meaning they should not be a black belt. These kids should clearly not be at a blackbelt level and ATA has a bad reputation for that. Problem is people who go to a WTF or ITF school that hear these bad stories may think its the same thing at other schools.

  • @DBKK I didnt have to put words in your mouth. you are one that made the statement. " wow so called blackbelts holding a pole, impressive. " who were you referring to? that was directed at the kids so man up. I personally know very little about Martial Arts however we have a lot of students and instructors using our training tool. I just amazes me how many nasty comments there are. I always heard honor and respect. but some obviously have not heard that. maybe not you but many.

  • @DBKK do you have a martial arts academy? or are you a best instructor o are you only a destructive guy with low self steem who hates everithing and got nothing to offer?

  • @kungfu12able o are ? everyithing ? learn how to spell

  • @myosource absolutly the clue is in the heading ie "side kick TRAINING"

  • @DBKK This is a very difficult kick to teach kids because of hip growth. These kids have almost prefect form. Their base leg heel is pointing at the target. they are using a great knife edge. And the have a good angle on the hip for maximum power. This is karate practice, not karate perfect, and they are in the dojo.. what's your probloem with the bar? Is your teacher not so innovative... you should sign up at this guys school, his student reflect well on him.

  • @ACoustaDC lol well first of all this its supposed to be a taekwondo school and they are black belts. care to bring up any other weak points?

  • @DBKK Your comment lacks substance. Do you have anything of value to offer this discussion. What do you mean this is TKD, and these are black belts. What is the weak point I brought up......Please tell me you have something to offer. Or is all we get is this is TKD and these are black belts. If you have anything of substance to offer I am willing to listen.

  • @ACoustaDC @DBKK Wow are you serious coach? He is saying that they are handing out black belts to little kids who shouldn't be higher than white. Clearly you have never trained in a real TKD school coach because if you did you would know it takes years of hard to work to get a black belt and you would not be defending this joke of a school.

  • @mrkmassa uhm... Yes I am a serious coach. And you will never find a white belt with a side kick anywhere near this good. 1. Side kick does not appear in a kata untill wan hyo (itf tkd) and it is the fourth kata in the ITF system. This appears to be ATA. They do a different set of forms, but I will bet you that a side kick isn't in their first form either. So yes I know what I am talking about and you do not. GOT IT! In fact, show me a style that has a side kick in the first form.

  • @ACoustaDC Well you would lose that bet because in Songahm 1 there is a side kick. and yes we do bar TRAINING with all belt ranks in my school.

  • @DBKK, I Practice TKD ITF. There's nothing wrong with the kids holding on to a rail to practice their kicks. They have pretty good form compared to many that I've seen. Good job.

  • pas mal !!

  • do i see 5 black belts who need a bar to stay steady?.. gotta love american mc dojo.. earn a black belt by knowing all the techniques exactly, without error. so you shouldn't be holding a bar.

  • You sure they black belts?

  • Girl in the middle, poor technique. Short boy, super flexible, which I could kick that high.

  • If you're under 16 you shouldn't have a black belt, period.

  • For standing up martial arts. I'd take Muay Thai just for the sheer brutality involved. Also Muay Thai training toughens you up as you spar. You see TKD sparring with huge chest pads and head guards. In Muay Thai sparring you use none of these and so it prepares you for what you can expect in a fight.

  • They all have black belts and they're still learning how to do a side kick lool

  • @SimohammeD007

    ur right !

  • I hate child black belts. I think that these styles should only promote blackbelts 18+. Until they are 18, I think there should be a youth grading system...and at 18, the youth black belt would convert to an adult purple or blue (depending on how the style's rankings work).

Yes some maybe mature, but they should be mature enough to understand why they have to wait.

Also I don't think a black belt should be guaranteed just because of time spent. Some just aren't good enough to get it.

  • @packie009 i agree. in the local TKD training studio we have 2 korean teachers and both have trained it since they vere children. they also thougth that there should be a system like this but they made an own system for peaple under 13 years. its all kinds of colors.(im over 13 so yes i have a yellow belt i hawe been training for half a year and thinck that is retty fast we do it from experience not time trained)

  • @packie009 agreed. most systems have a junior and senior ranking system, most systems worth their salt anyway

  • @packie009

I agree. Black belt should be earned by actual skills, not how long have one learnt.

I always think people shouldn't have get black belt unless he/she is good enough to stand alone and help teaching.

  • Nice video loved it...

  • @EmEeArCee Oh whatever, lol.

  • hes great for teaching them the proper way to throw a side kick..but if they are black belts, they should know to pivot the heel when they kick no matter what style they study.

  • Thats a pro class. Only Black Belts. Why do u guess they listen that well?

  • Those kicks are pretty, but there is no power behind them.

  • @jakodiere True. They put knee too much outwards. When kicking they don't have much bodyweight behind it.

  • do you think its best off starting at young age because im 15 and ive done this before but quit and i wanna start back up :/

  • They definitely should not be wearing black belts. =O

  • @VividlyContemporary Agreed. You can see they've danced their way to black, no practical/realistic side.

  • nice.but is important that the hips and the heel are facing the enemy.just in one line.only this way you can make sure you really hit what u want and with much power.otherwise u loose power and balance

  • theyre not that good...

  • I did side kicks when I was a yellow belt

  • black belt kids???

most academies or clubs i know specify that only 16 years or older can be black belts. Only 13 years or older can be brown

  • @TheGlowingKnight

it doesnt matter the age the youngest black belt in my tae kwon do school was i believe 8

  • @tkdstacia it is just a joke. Nothing else...

  • @Zejex15

yeah i understand. But in my taekwondo school there are only about 10 black belts, me being on of them, and most are older, and about 5 of them are teens, and one is 10, 8 when he got it.

  • i wanna see those kids learning axe kick , this is a really really difficult kick to people who never saw it...

  • i do teakwondo

  • There are many fighters. But not that many people who have the temperment or skill to teach kids. I train in MMA and MMA guys generally talk down to TKD. But NOT many (only a handful) or tough MMA guys can actually have such an organized class where kids learn and listen. That's a skill set not many top fighters have.

  • @BushidoCode72 That's because MMA is not a discipline. It is simply a bunch of high percentage moves taken from almost all competitive arts (wrestling, boxing, muay thai, BJJ etc.). Certainly some practitioners have roots in one or more of those arts, but MMA is not a discipline, which is why it is still not easily understood or well known among the general population and boxing fans.

  • @BushidoCode72

I don't see a lot of MMA kids class anyways. Most parents would prefer something like TKD where kids learn balance and flexibility. Parents actually don't want kids to fight...

  • @BushidoCode72, Every one trash talks about an art. A wise and an experience fighter will know that every art has it's advantages and disadvantages, It all comes down to the individual. How hard they train and how effectively can they use their skills on their opponents.

  • i like how you teach the kids without been a dick to them....like your way.

  • yo myosource you guys have been to fresno before i remember seeing one of your people at our tournament

  • Taekwondo is so flawed.

  • @monkey407

HOW is it flawed? or is your opinion that one martial art is better then the other, cant argue some ones own opinion. every style has there own high points choose whats best for you,

  • @monkey407 Then you get someone who understands and knows Muay thai, defensive wrestling, and good submissions and all of a sudden hes a beats with Muay thai Taekwondo hybrid

  • @monkey407 ok i do taekwondo and its very nice

  • @monkey407

I agree with you, Taekwondo has many flaws. The point of Taekwondo is however not to be the perfect martial arts. In a real life situation, the extremely offensive nature of Taekwondo will quickly rid you of your enemies and then you could run away or something.

Most styles have upsides and downsides.

  • @Sparclen youp i agree wtf is mostly kicks itf is more traditional and bjj is only really effectic in a 1on 1 match. i dk much about the other martial arts.

  • so does anybody know how or when you should 'ween' them if you will off of the bars?

  • I use a hybrid combination of kicks and punches both Taekwando and Kungfu at red belt level also there is some nice holds that can be implemented aswell :)

  • @veshkeat ... shut up dude.. go comment on your own page if you lack the knowledge to give proper comments on other people's videos.. Same goes for the other people.

The side kick is one of the hardest kicks to truely master as it asks a lot of your body.. Balance, core strength and flexibility.

The level at which these kids perform the kick CLEARLY shows that they are good at the kick and just practising it, as any practitioner should do.

    Love these kids <3 ^_^

  • @eXc69 why is he not correcting them? they are kicking way to high. also. why are black belts practicing on a holding rail? they should be off that by blue belt

  • @eXc69 Easiest kick to master, but these kids are pretty decent, would like to see them when they are older. Hardest kicks to master are the outer edge, front kick, inner edge, and finally axe kick.

  • @eXc69 I agree, and it should be known too, a lot of masters even use the bars. The idea of the bar is not so much for balance, but to give yourself the oppurtunity to study your own kick and improve if need be. By the way, they were good side kicks.

  • fail.

  • @alexandre25516 yes you are

  • These young kids may be black belts but just black belts and not black belt 1st degree or 2nd or lastly 3rd degree or

    Of the course striped.

  • how they have black belt if they just lerning side kick??

  • @bibikaki1 its the teach that has a black belt probs... if not i think everybody has a black belt :)

  • THEY LOOK AMAZING!!!! GOOD STUFF!

  • They're "black belts" and they're starting to learn side kicks? WOW xD

That's why Gwilo's can't teach what doesn't belong to them.

And is this even kukkiwon approved? $500 says it's not and those are fake black belts. REAL authentic black belts require Kukkiwon approval and you get ACTUAL ID cards and certified certificate of authenticity.

I hate it when people get fooled out of their money.

  • @krndrummer did you ever think they are practicing/ pervecting a move wow ur slow

  • @krndrummer well you dont relly know whether or not their just learning the kick right now. from the look of their technique they arent too bad to say the least. They could be just doing a common sidekick drill most practioners do.

  • Very true, grabbing the pole allows you to practice form and improve the muscle development without having to be concerned about balance etc.

  • In response to those asking why black belts are practising this way, don't world champion boxers train jab everyday??

  • @decoel40 I think people are saying that its the grabbing a pole to keep balance. However i think people also dont get that a black bet is still realy just a begginer

  • @decoel40 no they are not practicing this, they are LEARNING this. World champions build up on the simple jab everyday which they learned how to do YEARS before. and Just like 'kmdrummer' said, they need approved belts with certificate for both belt and person.

  • @immortalmuffinz if they are LEARNING this, why are they wearing black belts? thats a whitebelt kick. they should know it if they have black belts. this is so fail...

  • @veshkeat right thats what i said lol. I said world champions practice on a jab they learned way before. These kids are learning how to do this kick at this belt level meaning this school is just for the business and money, the gi, belts, belt tests, competitions, and they give it out fast to get more money. I hate schools like these.

  • That's cute, I like it, but in my school, we have much harder stretches for round house and side, so much that it hurts after class, what we do is have a partner stretch our legs 4 us, they push it towards our shoulders while keeping our hips strait, I'm a white belt and I already have the hang of side. But I think those kids did really cute!

  • the little guy and the mohawk dude are the best

  • believe me they do not appear to be just learning how to do a side kick. More like perfecting the form.

  • for anyone putting this video down, the first two boys have classic tae kwon do chambers with ease, and confident accurate extension. dont forget, these are children in western society, not in shoalin trained monks. good to see children with dicipline and well taught basics.

  • umm why do black belt kids need a bar to do side kick for that matter why are they just learning it at black belt

  • im not flexible to do that lool flexibilty should trained when we are kids

  • go Mr.Lobe! (probably spelled your last name wrong)

  • lol, thats the school i go to. didnt know anyone put a vid of it on youtube.

  • i enjoyed watching that :)

  • very good
