  • ever thought of after its finished ading a compressed air cannon that fires pop cans. Me and my frineds built one. we filled the cans with sand and they fired about 100meters with enough force to punch through a train box car.

  • I hope you replaced the springs on the tramboline before your brother used it.

  • Just discovered this project, watched the first 35 parts yesterday (maybe 4 hours?) time to watch the rest today! Keep it up dude!

  • Jamies hot! and your cool....Waiting on the movie!

  • Future giant robot builders of America.

  • jaimie if you make it a dvd that would be awesome sign me up for it

  • Wow! I watched this from part 1 to this today. Amazing and highly entertaining. You should consider making a dvd with your projects, letting people pre-order so you have money in advance and release the dvd when your project is completed. Maybe throw in some extra material that isn't on the web too. Amazing design. So minimal in power consumption/servos. gotta figure out that steering mechanism... Best of luck!

  • heh heh. ALL today! Woah. I uess I better get back to work on the robot. :-) Actually, I just finished all my other renovation projects so I'll be able to work on it when I get back from the holidays.

I think I'll make a DVD at the end. I hadn't thought about pre-order. hmmm....

  • @unambitious found it today also watched every episide up to here in one sitting

  • @unambitious me too!

  • so like.... why is it a shame that I'm building a giant robot...????

  • i use tape for band-aids also

  • please update! you are awesome and the robot is awesome too! p.s. what are you goin to use to power this thing? a battery? a really long extension cord? :-)

  • Man you are awesome, you have a lot of patience and straight hands. This videos were extremely interesting for me because I like doing, constructing and repairing stuff. I wish I had so huge banana building and so much free time.

Respect MAN. Can't wait for more videos.

  • I didn't have all thise stuff a few years ago! Work hard, and you can get all kinds of cool stuff in this world! :-)

  • AHHHHHHHHH this is the last one.... Well at least now youve got a place to work on the thing this winter. I anxiously await any updates man, keep with it. It SNOWED the other day and the leaves are still greenish...*punches snow*

  • oh great.... I don't even want to hear about snow! :-P ...at least not until i get the dome insulated. :-)

  • i admire your ambition and hard working nature man, have you always been that way? i used to be in before i turned sixteen, now not soo much. i used to take all my toys and electronics apart due to my burning curiousity, unfortunatly some electronics didnt work again if i got ahold of them. i been following the robot project project for a while now and it is very interesting for someone like me, i wonder if its the first of its kind and i hope its not the last, good luck!

  • abandon the project or what? we look forward to the video 37. spirit boy, i believe

    in you.

  • No abandonment! ...just working on the workshop before it gets cold! I want a place to work in the winter. :-)

  • My English isn't the best. (Im Swedish too) However I have been watching all your videos and I am stunned by your creativity! I wish you all the best and your spider comes true.

  • Nice job either way Jamie. Been watching your videos for about a year, glad to see your progress. Don't give up , what your doing is labor intensive for sure. I build cars and trucks , but I use modern materials and tools. Keep going , you remind me of my early years in car building. IMAGINATION GETS THE JOB DONE!!!!

  • quick mix concreat.....way faster and cheeper around the pyrimater of your banana building.....

  • Dude, get the litium batteries and charger, last much longer and has longer lifetime

  • Hey Robot Man!

I wasn't sure if you had finished all those 3/4" x 4" axles for the legs you had taped on both ends. Perhaps to save some time you could find some large Nuts that the inner thread diameter was just shy of the axle, then weld it from inside the nut.... Maybe you might save a couple hours of tapping>!>! Good luck with the rest of your project~! I've seen all your videos and I feel like I'm your grass smokn equivalent.. haha if there even was such a thing... Keep it up dude!

  • Not that I've ever built a robot!!!! Only Houses.... Robots are cooler...

  • I enjoyed your tales from the crypt humming, nice touch

  • I´m swedish myself and I must tell you that you´re a bit of a celebrity on a swedish website called "Flashback". They call you the "Nutty professor IRL". Anyways, I´m a total fan - you´re not an inventor only but a true freaking artist! :D

  • no way. thats cool. I'm gonnacheck it out. :-)

  • How many fine young gentleman from sweden are following your youtube really?

  • ha ha. I don't know, actually. .....but it seems like swedes like giant robots!

  • We sure got a thing for giant robots.

  • I'm sure your brother will appreciate this time when he is older. Then again, he may build Kronos to kill you.

  • heh heh. That would be awesome! Then we can battle!

  • 4:02 funny looking thing

  • Man, you've come so far! I'm so proud of you =')

  • Wow, that arm is pretty crazy looking, like some piece of cool industrial terminator something or other... steam would look pretty cool coming out of it. I approve, good job man lol.

  • thanks! Ya.... steam powered would be kinda sweet. heh heh.

  • "my 13 year old brother... Oh man i hope he's 13"

    LOL!

wow your guys are just like me and my brother.... But he hits me then i beat him up... Or at lease try ^_^

  • ya. he's 13! I remembered. :-)

  • UMM NUTS. That didnt come out right . lol. im going to send you a little care package let me know were to send it to.

  • Nothing says brother bonding quite like making stuff/getting strong.

Make him wear the chain shirt.

  • ha ha. ya right. He's umm... a bit of a umm..... well... err... I don't think he's ready for chainmail shirts. ha ha

  • I was a suburban kid and visited my dad who lived off grid. My advice is let him play with all the fun stuff, and work on regular stuff like water and wood, etc... it's work just living off grid when you are used to modern environments... or let him think up a quick project of something he can take home and help him build that... ??

Or whatever, I'm sure you'll figure it out, that's just my unsolicited 2 cents.

  • Ya.... I think he just had a massive bout of home sickness.... things are cool again. :-P

  • keep it up! i love your videos

  • (big smile) What an awesome big bro and place to hang! he oughta be one happy teenager!

  • dude, nice 6x rifle/pelet gun scope, where did u get that gun,...>?

Sean cusses quit a lot dosnt he, mmm,....

  • JMEMantzel. wont powering your finished robot be hugely expensive?

  • the kid is going to be all like "ooh are we going to work on the robot are we going to work on the robot are we going on the robot" and you "nope, bananabuilding" and then he will be all like "nah i dun wanna work on the bananabuilding i want to work into the robot"

  • ha ha. ya right. He's a suburb kid. All he wants to do is play video games adn drink coke. I'm trying REAL hard to give him another perspective, though. Man, its an uphill battle

  • sorry, man. I've been getting a lot of comments. In a nutshell, no. It won't cost a fortune.

I can just stick a generator in the passenger seat, and run it off that until I come across cheap batteries.

  • It was funny when you said "MAX HC" in that awesome voice

  • oh... I'm gonna have to go back and watch. I don't remember doing that. :-P

  • You can always tell then a show is starting to go downhill when they add a random kid to the show.

Just look at Married with Children.

    (Kidding)

  • ha ha. ya. Well, I appologize if I get almost nothing done in the next 2 weeks. Its diffifcult to entertain a video game generation kid. :-P

  • oh and sorry about the drill batteries being a pain in the butt. i'll get you a new lithium drill for christmas, oh and i have a compressor you can have.

  • Naw, its cool. Don't worry. The drill totally works great. I just needto order a new battery... and register is with the warranty thingy.

  • dooooooooooooood i wanna come a play with my brothers. ok the smackin his head on your robot was so funny.

  • ya. don't worry. his head is ok. He was being over dramatic. ha ha.

  • Bolt Boy is nothing without his nuts! haha

  • Lucky you! (:

  • Looks like you guys are having a blast!

  • Your brother is so cute

  • Siiiiiiiiick

  • mmmmm nuts lmao

  • He said "sheet" o.o

  • I THINK HE OF COURSE MEANT "Golly gosh!"

To think of a young boy swearing so. Perish the thought.

  • oh. ha ha. when did he swear? I missed it.

  • ya. it was sheet.

  • i remember having my cousin over he had never shot a gun. good times

  • "... and that reminds me about the story about how I lost my big toe"

  • cousin tim is that you?

  • The band-aids are for the robot.

  • OH! Right. I knew that.

  • Nice! It's about time you got some madscience science help!

Quick... build him some cybornetic limbs and turn him into your minion before he figures it out and escapes :-P

  • ya. ha ha. He's already got a foot out the door. ha ha. I made him brush his teeth. I don't think he liked that. :-P

  • your brother is teh lucky, no better place for young teens then off grid in the wilds... building robots.

  • Well, thats what i thought! He's not into building, though. ....but I'm still hopeful of converting him.

  • aw, ya big wimp! :-P just playin... sorta

  • I have used though... lol

  • Summer vacation, hanging out with bigger brother in the woods, in his home made dome...... I don't think it gets cooler than that!

  • You've got a cool kid brother. Hey, he's much lighter, maybe he should drive the GRP.

  • er.... ya. If I sent him home to his mom with robo damage..... augh.... no way, man!
