  • What classes were on board? I didn't know there was a first class if so.

  • @mjk0123456789 lets just say there was no UNDESIREABLES allowed.

  • Did you HAVE to put that annoying tired out over used Top Gun music over the top!?

  • @xoio Yes

  • How much was your ticket? I heard that it was expensive, but not how expensive. Thanks for sharing your video (and adventure!!!).

  • @iu2bibys tickets on concorde were about 10 grand.....

  • @iu2bibys It was £4000 single .. = £8000 return, or sometimes less.

  • Being a Ramp Agent. I'D Taken Serious Pride in Working this Everyday..I wouldn't Care How Many or Heavy the bags were....Lucky Ramp Bastards in LHR lol...I'm Uber Jelious..

  • What a superb experience that must have been to fly on Concorde. WIsh I could have done it before they went out of service:(

  • Great upload. Especially parts 2 and 3 :)

  • concorde is so small i though it was bigger

  • it really does look like some kind of futuristic space ship sorta thing.

  • I too was fortunate enought to fly Concorde - albeit on a BA staff concession ticket!

LHR - JFK on a Saturday

JFK - LHR - next day (Sunday)!

Seems like just a dream to me now, but your video sure brought back some memories.

Thanks for posting this....where's part 2?

  • i wish to come back the concorde.

  • This exact plane is at some museum now. Completely Plexiglasd off! :(

  • Nice video; I flew the Concorde simulator last year at Brooklands with a group of former Concorde pilots including Mike Bannister. It was a great evening; just a pity I never experienced a real flight in this wonderful aircraft. I believe Gordon you were working the computer on the simulator that day.

  • How much did you pay for your ticket? xD

  • thats one sexy bird!

  • anybody have a copy of concorde's timetables? I want to see them...

  • makes u realise how small concode is compared to a 747

  • it will be revived at 2093 ( finnair plans to construct supersonic aircrafts similar to concorde)

  • Just can't believe this was true - amazing video - thanks.

  • 4.03 +It amazes me why the people on this, and other experiences like this, still have a face like a smacked arse. Why are they not enjoying it? It doesn't get much better!

  • OMG I BEEN ON THAT CONCORDE!

  • haha! I was just inside Alpha Golf the other day!. too bad they had the bloody seats blocked off :(

  • what happened to the Concorde lounge was it taken down?

  • lucky booger!

  • amaizing video gordon you really get lucky congratutations gordon....

  • concorde is asome

  • Can you hear the sonic boom from inside the plane?

  • no you can't - though you can see the curve of the earth

  • 0:06 Highway to the Danger Zone from Top Gun can be heard

  • A ba concorde taxing in front of two ba 747's what a beautifull sight!!

  • No.

Concorde cost billions to develop - that was a 60's and 70's figure, so inflation will have done it's work since then.

£23 Million was per aircraft, and once again, this was a 70's figure, so it would be around £80 Million each today.

  • This baby is parked at Seattle's Museum of Flight now...

  • hey! G-BOAG lives near me! 8D

  • i wonder how much the tickets were. like 1000 dollars or what?

  • more than that im sure.

  • more than$10000 id say but not sure how much more

  • $15,000 roundtrip

  • Around $10000 round trip near the end of service.

  • Wow. Must be like a fairly rich person to fly that thing!

  • when i flew the 001 to JFK in 1999, the one way fare was £3500 ... and, no, I am not rich - I didn't pay - I was couriering company documents

  • $1000?

Sorry, but that's possibly the most laughable thing I've ever heard.

  • more like 3600 USD

  • No, more like £6000, or around $11,000.

  • Those flight attendants were HAWT!

  • was this last flight of concord?

  • No. It's very easy to just type 'last flight of Concorde' in google rather than ask here, I just can't see why some people don't do it.

It's spelt with an 'e', also.

  • Fantastic video=) Wish I had the chance to experience supersonic travel. However I was able to go to Edinburgh airport on the last day of operations to see the very last Concorde takeoff from Scotland. Many emotional people there that day=) I remember it like it was yesterday.

  • very nice....

  • I want to know both songs.

  • The opening music is the theme to Top Gun. Second piece is Also sprach zarathustra, by Richard Strauss

  • You able to get one of the LAST concorde flights! lucky!

  • The cadillac of the sky :) Aviation poetry. :)

  • i always wanted to get on the TU-144 ):

  • Thats my birthday :)

  • Tu-144 and Concorde both great planes :D

  • @TonyFirelli

What means "rocket class"? First class?

  • @TonyFirelli the concorde was a great plane. but the TU-144 was a shit plane. it would have been more reliable if it was stuck together with sellotape instead of rivets.

  • @TonyFirelli concorde was TU-144 was a disaster

  • @teemas10 Well obviously you havent watched documentaries and just pulled that out of your fan-boy head...

  • @TonyFirelli haha loll. well i know that a wing tore apart at Paris air show and i know that another crashed because of a fuel leak. And know that it was taken out of commercial service (in commercial service for just 2 years) because of severe design deficiencies. So i would call that a disaster of a plane. I know they rushed the design to beat Concorde into the air. That's the only thing it achieved and hence why it had severe design flaws.

  • @teemas10 Well your spelling shows low education... Other than that, The only problem the Tu-144 suffered were engines other then that it was a perfect plane like a concorde. and the crash at Paris has high possibility of a sabotage, many agreed.

  • @TonyFirelli "well your spelling shows low education" shut up man. Y u getting personal when talking about a plane.

  • @teemas10 That's not being personal... xaxaxa

  • @TonyFirelli Early flights in scheduled service indicated the Tu-144S was extremely unreliable. During 102 flights and 181 hours of scheduled freight and passenger flight time, the Tu-144S suffered at least 226 failures, 80 of them in flight.

Taken from Wikipedia. Does the TU-144 seem such a "great" plane now?

  • @HotChilliSquirrel Well if you got that from Wiki.. Hah, my friend got banned from there because they didn't like the real truth he put up there, and they removed what they didn't like.

  • @TonyFirelli but concorde is better

  • @TonyFirelli No. The Tu was never fit for service. This Concorde invention served her lifespan, transporting humans, in leisurewear, at enormous altitudes, with complete ease. The Russians never came close.

  • You lucky man! It must have been a magical experience.

  • top gun van halen

  • The Concorde is the most majestic aircraft!

It shall be revived in the future! Don't know when, but it will!

It is too great of a creation to be shelved.

  • Agree with you completely!!

    Long live the Concorde!!

  • the Concorde will be in heaven;)

  • @oliverman22 u so damn right dude

  • Just to say iv reserched concorde and it will sadley never bee in flight again

Too much monny to repair and make... :(

  • How many times have you flown on this thing, you fat rich son of a bitch?

  • hands down one of the best experiences of my life.. London Heathrow to JFK.

  • wat´s te music name? please coment

  • It´s the theme of the movie "Top Gun".

  • You've actually flown on BOAG? You are indeed a very lucky man. That aircraft is here in Seattle at the Museum of Flight. I went to see it for the first time two months ago and tears filled my eyes when I stepped on board. It had been a dream of mine to fly Concorde to LHR (744 on the return).

I'm certain this is a memory you will not forget.

  • What I hope happens is the same thing that happened with the Vulcan, in a couple of years somebody manages to scrape up the money needed to renevate the Concorde so that everyone can hear it just one more time, that for me would be a true dream come true

  • If they dont bring the concorde back they should remodel other older aircraft to make a supersonic 1 like the concorde i mean at this day and age with all of our technology it should be possible right?

  • nice I love the Top Gun Music

  • you were lucky enough to fly on this bird! I remember in 1980 around that time, Concorde came to Oakland, Ca and sold tickets for 800 dollars. I missed it because I did not look in the newpaper until the next few days:( Very good vlogs! Hopefully one day concorde will come back, who knows:) Thanks for sharing with me!

  • u cpied nature boy ric flair

    miss im

    n concorde

    tnx

  • the concorde is stunning

  • Just wanted to say that I toured this exact Concorde you flew on. Wish I could have rode her. Saved up for the tickets and was $1,000 shy when they retired her.

  • great detail well done on making this video
