Saw Elton ireland in My Grandparents Home town of Killarney.
He Blew us away on a warm sultry evening.

In the 80's he had nodes removed from his vocal cords.
Its amazing he can still sing at all.
been singing and playing since he was 5 yrs old
he used to play in the local pubs as a kid.
It is who he is !!
and thankfully he still has the desire to preform
55+ yrs Thats an insane amout of time to do anything.
I hope I'm half as alive and kickin it when I'm that old

He can still hold a tune, but now sounds like his mouth is stuffed with cotton wool. Honestly, I'm a fan but compare this wih an earlier version. I challenge anyone who doesn't already know the words to write down what he's singing here!

The lyrics describe a fictional veteran who was blinded as a result of the war, and travels to Spain to escape those around him back home, including his brother, from whose point of view the story is told. Your not the only one who knowes... XD
