The truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission.
Its always good for me to watch a listen a video like this one, because thats a briliant english language that I can learn also the political manners and speakers know how :)
It is undeniable that this was a well delivererd, optimistic speech. The question now lies as to whether these promises can realisticly be carried out within the set timescales. The latest the next general election is 2009, so a lot of these promises may not be met if the party's current image sustains much longer. Had Gordon gone to the people last year, then I would be completely convinced by these promises, but has the seemingly ever-burning flame of New Labour been extinguised by the Tories?
Gordon is a man of great morals and wisdom but he is not in touch with helping people into the labour market, how can top up fees help people into good jobs. His biggest weakness is failing to follow through his words with actions, so much for that early autumn election eh? On a positive note he is 100X better than the Tories so that is a consellation!
Brilliant oratory, dear sir, from the other side of the pond. I still want to catch your weekly address in Parliament. Your policies are precise, well-targeted, and extremely important. I suggest that your party post a video presentation of your weekly addresses in Parliament so everyone can SEE them. hehem...and I might suggest that another Prime Minister in this world "spot" himself ONE year....god's speed
if labour hadnt had got in in 1997 my city (Liverpool) would have crumbled to the ground by now the Nhs would be dead and the working man would still have been being payed slaves wages. lets ignore the baying and rantings of the snob's in the house of commons, just shows they cant come up with good policies apart from slagging off labour to boost their own poll ratings and lets just concentrate on continuing the good work labours done since 1997 and kick their arses in the next general election.
Thats what we like to hear Gordon!! i admire u for concentrating on labours policies instead of listening to the baying and whining by the snobs about mps and a few thousand quid of taxpayers money theyve been steeling millions off the working class for years shutting the coal mines laying off dockers crushing the unions and privitising businesses!!
I hope Gordon Brown pulls through the next election, I don't want to be in the hands of the capitalist Tories. Cameron is more bothered about his image than his country.

First UK politician to "obamify" his speech. I though Cammeron the plagarist would be first....

They closed off the whole area top hotels. How much does that cost, shocking. I'm living in a burned out flat probably like people in Iraq.

Quite simply the best speech Gordon has made yet.

Cameron has more or less a clean image compared to Brown. However, neither would get my vote if the voting system wasn't so retarded.
