  • The Dalai Lama is, In fact, the realization of the Buddha of Compassion. How could to say you understand his intentions?

  • Be careful, you guys are going in the other direction. Realize that Dalai Lama is in line with the universe. If you want to ascend in 2012, keep your heart open. It's that easy.

  • The English language semantics were not clear in this at all. Seems you have a choice to make really. I am under no illusion that China or Tibet is now a democracy. He is what he is, representing an ancient, feudal tradition. I do not follow the Dali Lama, and I am aware not all of his package on offer is for all of Tibetans, let alone the Chinese.

  • This vedeo is just baseless , senseless, and and everyone should know that China is fiancing these small group of bastards.

  • I came across this article of how HH Penor Rinpoche was unbiased and sympathetic towards Dorje Shugden monks due to the ban and he opened up Namdroling for these monks to get supplies. It really is inspiring and uplifting to read this article... bit [.] ly [/] cbARTJ

  • let me just copy paste this from a speech HH gave recently:

"It is important that Tibetans maintain friendly relations not only with people of all nationalities, but also amongst themselves. Tibetans should not engage in petty disputes with each other. I earnestly appeal to them instead to resolve any differences with patience and understanding."

I love the Dalai Lama's appeal. May all who revere him follow his advice.

  • I agree with RedNiece. It is almost impossible to please everybody. Unlike enlightened beings like the HHDL and DS, we do not see things from all angles. Therefore, there is a high chance that we are missing out an important piece of the DS-DL puzzle. When the time is right, I have faith that the pieces will all fall in place & we will understanding the reasons for all the occurrences related to DL and DS. In the meantime, practice sincerely & benefit other daily with our mind, speech &actions.

  • Something that must be made clear is that the protests are not necessarily against Dalai Lama personally per say but about the ban and infringement of human rights. People still respect and like the dalai lama, but disagree with the current actions.

I personally do not agree with going on the streets to protest, but I can see that its helpful in raising awareness. I think we need to also find a balance though, to see what else we can do to tangibly help the persecuted

  • it's sad to see that democracy in one country has been reduced to a kind of forced ballot; n people who don't "tow the line" (i.e. people who continue to practice Dorje Shugden) are being ostracised, attacked and denied any welfare or support from the government. What democratic govt does that? the TGIE show themselves to be v backward in this way n reflect their people n leader quite badly.

What is most sad is to see how pple r being attacked/ostracised within their own exile communities.

  • Shugden followers are against D.L.s NON SECTARIAN approach. They are Gelug sectarians.

The D.L. is promoting non-sectarianism in all four schools. Sectarianism is a threat to religious freedom. Gelug sectarians, a minority, wanted to dominate. They failed.

  • An overwhelming majority of the monks voted AGAINST allowing the Shugden cult in their monasteries.

    It was a unanimous decision.

  • Dorje Shugden is not a big issue anymore.

The expelled Shugden monks have their own monasteries now.

Only China and the pro-Chinese Shugden groups make this a big issue.

Stop criticizing China, forget about human right issues in China/Tibet, focus on the Dalai Lama and his "religious persecution"...

I´M SO FED UP WITH THIS PROPAGANDA!

  • The men behind the "triple murder" were Shugden followers. They got away with it. China protects them. I guess they returned...

In 2007 interpol issued red notices to China for extraditing ..... and ..... who are accused of the "ritualistic killing" of a Gelug Lama and his two students (in Dharamsala 1997).

  • China sends Shugden monks to India to split the exile community.

  • long live tibetan Chinese and all ethnic Chinese:-)

  • Long Live Autonomy under China!

  • long live tibetan Chinese as good citizens of China. Long live Chinese all over the world. Long live tibet as part of China.

  • Ha! Ha! Long Live Everyone! ESPECIALLY the Dalai Lama! He is still loved....just his policies.....that suck!

  • @pleasantlysurprising Free Tibet.

  • @cedarwould

Long livet tibetan Chinese and other ethnic Chinese:-)

  • long live tibetan Chinese as good citizens of China. Long live Chinese all over the world. Long live tibet as part of China.

  • Ya...thanks to the Dalai Lama and his autonomy UNDER China pitch, Tibetans are a part of China...he's proposing just that!!

  • Buddhism is not a democracy,

please take the decadence of the west at put it somewhere else.

  • Neither is the system under the Dalai Lama who preaches democratic ideals and proposes it to his own people, however deniying even the basic right to worship freely. BTW democracy does not exclusively belong to the west. India the birthland of Buddhism is one of the largest Democracies in the world. It is also where the Dalai Lama resides and enjoys his freedoms.

  • long live tibetan Chinese as good citizens of China. Long live Chinese all over the world. Long live tibet as part of China.

  • Ya...thanks to the Dalai Lama and his autonomy UNDER China pitch, Tibetans are a part of China...he's proposing just that!!

  • for some of the silly ppl :)!! China loves wt HHDL is doing - bannin of shugden. obviously the chinese will favor anything that the DL forbids...

    sincerely,

    a true tibetan...

    Free Tibet!!!

  • I don't know what is Dorjee Shugdhen.I don't mind if U believe in that but U peoples seems wrong.dalai Lama never stop anyone. He says that nayone like to worship shugden please don't come to me.That is very clear.

I personally think Shugden is not important. Our mother land TIBET is more important.Whether it's shugden or any other deities they all r dead, they don't exist. Our blind faith make us to think that they help us.Free Tibet.I love my country more than my religion.

  • This man of peace and compassion HAS immense power, control & influence over his people. DL never stopped anyone? by making this an issue for 10-12 yrs, PROPOSING a REFERENDUM to curb the practice, taking oaths, signature campaigns, shunning, wall in Ganden..did U orchestrate all this?coz its very illegal. Love for country IS more important than one's faith(a private matter). This distortion, manipulation and splitting by DL using the trust/hope/faith of his own people is awful&sad. Free TIBET!

  • really very good video, i really hope that one time my country will not be any more theocrasy. religion and political should be separated

  • Ive actually renewed my practise of Dorge Shugden since the Dalai Lamas ban. I suppose it's made me realize how fortunate I am to live in a country where I can rely on any deity I choose without being discriminated against. Perhaps, by his actions, the Dalai Lama is going to help the practise of Dorge Shugden become more widespread than ever before. Maybe thats his plan!. Because if he's sincere in his attempts to eradicate the practise of Dorge Shugden, he's doing a really bad job!.

  • Most people agree there should not be divisions and religious factions. DL can state his opinions but proposing a referendum to FURTHER curb or stifle a practice based on HIS opinion alone has resulted in monasteries conflicted and divided. His words, opinions bring divisiveness. A WALL has now been erected in Ganden where monks were once praying, studying and socializing together. A SPIRITUAL and POLITICAL leader's views repeated +10 yrs has disastrous results. PEACE? TOLERANCE? Tragedy!!

  • his holiness the 14th dalai lama clearly stated that those who wants to practice shugden diety won't be stopped but he urged them not to participate his teachings cuz he doesn't worship that diety, i dont thing saying this statement his holiness has done something bad to shugden practioners "om mani pedme hung"

  • i remember he urged all tibetan buddhist prctioners not to worship the diety cuz it creates diffrences among buddhist schools and violating buddhist principals, however he has clearly stated that those who wants to practice won't be stopped but urged them not to participate his teachings, i dont thing saying this statement his holiness has done something bad to shugden practioners "om mani pedme hung"

  • i am a tibetan buddhist i dont know much about dorje shugden controversy but i think we tibetans should not be divided into religous factions we are the practioners of buddha dharma who only wants to preach help and tolerate others including our enemy, and i hate others being intimating us by taking this issue and politice it, i have full faith in his holiness the dalai lama who is the reincarnation of Chenrigzi ( Alokteshwar) who guids us along the path of buddha dharma,

  • Excellent! The message is geeting out!

  • dalai lama's views on Dorjee Shugden and the statements he made on 1996 has broken familes and broken friendships and literally divided us tibetans.. the threats these people face back in india are real.. dalai lama preaches the non-violence path just like gandhi did, but i don't see him active and participating for the movement like gandhi did by himself personally taking part.. the younger generation has lost faith in our system coz we know wats going on out there in dharamsala...

  • check out for the truth dorjeshugden (dot) com website. You will see very interesting information. Incredible website with so much information. See what the Tibetan Government in exile's new policy for Tibetans and Tibetan Dharma practitioners are in this VERY WELL MADE WEBSITE. INTERESTING TO THE CORE.

  • The ban the Tibetan Govt has on Dorje Shugden is making him bigger in the world. Ironically, if they want to slow his practice down, they must lift the ban. Chinese govt backed up by 1.2 billion citizens is promoting the practice vehemently. For whatever reasons, doesnt matter, the fact is that they are promoting. It all started because Tibetan Govt said the practice should be stopped. So it can only get bigger and now backed up by Tibet's 2nd highest lama, the panchen rinpoche.

  • Good video. This is exactly the way Shugden followers should express themselves: heartfelt messages with dignity. Take the moral high ground, do not roll around in the mud by retaliating out of anger.

  • great job thank you

  • A special thank you, "crouching tiger," for your courage to speak up. May your message reach the mountains and the tears from your eyes dry. --upkarma

  • Thankyou for bringing this into the open. I stayed with some amazing monks at sera-mey a few years ago. I had an email from a friend there who said they are undergoing great hardships at the moment, due to being ostrasized, many monks cant even get food now. Such a sad state of afairs when a politician decides what people practice spiritualy.

I have read so much rubbish on the internet about Dorje shugden, mostly by westerners who only know one distorted side of the story....
