Hi, my canary is making clicking sounds and it's very low sound and he's quiet puffed up. Ive applied him Beaphar Anti-parasite spot on which is a drop that is for all the type of mites, parasites etc. he's now cleaning himself as he is annoyed by it, I've washed his whole cage including accessories. I just need to know what else I can do and how to get rid if it because I've warmed up my room and covered his cage with a white blanket. Any other advice please ? Thanks

I had problems with airsac mites too. My friend has his birds outside in the yard in a big cage, and he has no prolems with disease. We live in Hawaii, and so the climate is not severe. The next time I try my hand with lady goulds, I am going to keep them outside too.

Is your bird better after treatment? What did you use? (Ivermectin, SCATT, other?)

Yes ive used vilmectin (its name in our country) she's cured and happy now.

can I ask. Did U treat with antibacterial for 2nd ary infection? How long did the bird have it til U noticed it?/
