Dunno if u can get Saitek gear in Dubai. In Qatar, Virgin Megastore is the only place I have seen that stock them, and not all the time. You might want to try that store in Dubai. I got all my gear over the internet.

Oh I wish I could tell you the brand name of the chair, but I bought this a long time ago and can't recall. It is very comfortable however and highly adjustable.

Hi Andy thanks for your comment. Normally I would have the cockpit across the three screens, but on that day I had just got my fourth monitor and installed my second graphics card, so I was experimenting with different viewing options.

hahah that was very entertaining, I couldnt imagine setup like this was even possible?! Seems to me - ammateur - that cpt. Fouad communicate with real people in flight tower like he is flying an real airplane, is that right? Its a bad luck that the end of the world - PC crash - happened during your flight, better luck next time captains, over :))

Something I've never understood about aviation is this:

"Copy on information Juliet"

"Request information Oscar"

What the heck does that mean? I know that Juliet stands for J, and Oscar for O, but what do those letters mean? Could someone explain this to me?

@arjennovic Hey, the letters are assigned to ATIS (Automated Terminal Infomation Service), which tells the pilots of the weather conditions, active runways, and any other remarks. Every time they are updated, they are assigned a letter. This is to ensure that the pilots have the most recent one.

For example, the pilot may call with information "FOXTROT", and be told that "GOLF" is current, because he has an old ATIS.

(They are nearly always in alphabetical order)

alexismmef, can you expand a bit more on the MD-11 widescreen ? If the one you are talking about is the one you can download from PMDG site, then yes I am using that.

Thanks for the comment. We had a lot of fun that afternoon despite the mistakes. 3ammo Fouad is actually a very capable pilot on the simulator. He is actually teaching me.
