I have been amp shopping to fucking long I am losing my mind,

I needed an amp that had a great sound with the volume on the guitar turned down in distortion mode.. so it cleaned up into a "fat clean" tone, and this looks like the amp. its nice and thick thats for sure but lacks a bit of presence... but I can add that with effects etc.. hey buddy do me favor please. play the amp with the master volume on used to create a thick distorted sound then please just turn down your guitar volume +play

There's a bit of a volume bump depending on how much more gain is dialed in to the Red channel. It's fairly considerable. I can use it for a lead bump as long as the mix is good. The Master volume is bypassed by push/pull....the master volume switch is a push/pull knob that is. Like the video of your boy playing guitar with you!..:)

ha ha, i agree McSoapy, the last channel(overdrive rock) is my fav too. It is VERY focused, bo buzzy overdrive, lots of mid, sharp and tight but still musical and raw.

that riff at the end sorta reminds me of the riff to "Heavy" by Collective Soul - rad!

Yes sir that is the Matchless tone. Thanks for the tone samples, way cool. Type in Surf and Saddle and click on the John Doe Band to here my Strat through an HC 30 on the EF86 pre amp, or click on surf and saddle this and surf and saddle this 2 to here th HC 30 through the 12ax7 pre amp, and a fully modded Epi 99 buck head with Mercury Magnetics Tranny's.
