  • I tried this and it does make it a little difficult to fly and you have to get used to pulling the throttle back down when you crash.

  • I didn't do this at first, and now that I've gotten used to the spring, I actually like it better than no spring. :)

  • i got the syma 108g cobra, and i used this mod on it as well. you don't even have to remove the batteries, you can leave them there, and the cover can be left screwed to the batteries.

  • I'ma try this mod, thanks man.

  • I just tried this but didn't like how the throttle felt, it feels so loose!

  • I see that the controller need 6 batteries!!! can it be fited with A 9v scuare battery?

  • Braddah man..mo bettah u talk pigion .lol can undastand u bettah...

  • bro good idea im doin it thanks for the help,

  • Just opened 2 of these for christmas and the throttles don't spring. One less mod i will have to do.

  • Thanks for your video. Your tutorial worked perfectly!

  • I removed the spring... But put it back on cuz I think it's easier to control when there's a spring.

  • great video i hate when the controls have springs

  • Good lookin out on posting this. I just ordered the s107g and prefer the NON spring load action., as I also own a Spektrum dx6i for my Blade helis and the left stick is non spring loaded. Will be using this mod the instant my s109g shows up in the mail!

  • just pull it off by using a little presser..... emmm .... bang

  • @tadasauce

Done. Took like 2 mins. After taking apart my PS3 controller to clean it out (someone got a bit of soda on it and the buttons started sticking), this was ridiculously easy! Thanks!

  • This is a must for the s107! makes hovering a snap. do watch out if you let your friends use it though cuz if they crash it the props will still b running until you kill the throttle

  • Its easier to control with the spring

  • Thx for the review but without the spring it's to way loose. It goes up and down all the time!

  • I think Im going to do this in a lil bit.!

    Thanks for the video

  • im so gonna do this when i get my syma s107!

  • is it just a philips head screw

  • thanks easy

  • Very informative thanks bro!

  • NEED CHEAP SYMA S107 SPARES????

EBAY OR EBID IS THE CHEAPEST PLACE TO FIND SPARES. MUCH CHEAPER THAN AMAZON.

  • you can do this with out removing batteries or batt. cover FYI.

  • Good Idea Thanks.

  • do those other blue sensor things at the side do anyhting?

  • @mrfishin101 no, the controller is used for the chinook version as well, where there would be tilt buttons, on this one there is nothing there because it doesn't have that function.

  • DO NOT do this, it makes the helicopter very nervous and twitchy, and when you come to put it back on the spring needs to be bent to get it on.

  • Ваув.... какое полезное видео....

    рагуль какой-то.

  • Soo glad I found this video a spring in the throttle is a stupid idea on a heli mine should be here in the morning and this Is the first thing I will be doing whilst the heli is charging via USB :) happy flying people

  • My only suggestion here is taping that spring down so it doesn't come loose and get into your electronics and short something out.. Otherwise, thanks for the tutorial.

  • great mod well worth popping open the remote cheers! mate well done!

  • thanks!

  • @joshhernandez2 it take 6 AA battery

  • i finally finished it. it took way longer for me to do it than you to do it

  • Thank you

  • if you do this will it void it or anything

  • @tabbyman2009

The heli and all only cost $24 shipped. You'll spend more grief, time, and possibly money dealing with any warranty issue than you would just buying another one.

  • @joshhernandez2 4 aa batteries.

  • Joshhernandez2 the controller takes 6 AA batteries

  • @tadasauce

I just ordered one of these and the new model doesn't have a visible spring inside the remote case. My model S 107 has the accelerator stick protruding from a small metal enclosure with the spring mounted inside somewhere. Does anyone know if the new models can be modified without breaking anything?

  • @tadasauce yes

  • show some action here

  • Neat job! Well done!

  • Do NOT put forward pitch onto the heli wthout the tail rotor as the motors disintegrate in a second or two, causing huge battery drain when moving forward. A good suggestion is to superglue the tail rotor on (it'll come off easily enough if you break a tail rotor blade, so don't worry)

  • I'm going to get one and it's sure that I'm going to do this!

  • @mobius713 good luck! there so fun!!! i got mine yesterday

  • @mycoolgecko Thanks! :)

  • good video , on my controller I am having a few probs going forward and backward ,do your top buttons work or just lever ?

  • easy as pie, I'll be doing that christmas morning lol.

  • @sm1thers Me too! XD

  • @sm1thers mee 2 :P

  • @sm1thers Lol i did too, plus took out front LED is that a good idea?? Sometimes it cuts out.

  • Thanx alot. I ordered the syma s107 and didn't like to hear it had a spring!
