  • ooh, compression not doing so well at 0:55 with the water.

  • Yeah, compression can be a bitch. But overall happy with the little guy.

  • If you don't mind passing on a few more tips to a newbie ... :) ... what codec are you rendering with? I'm using the Sony AVC/h.264 @720-30p to match the TS1 (MainConcept AVC is only for iPod in Vegas 9 non-Pro and can't be customized) . I read AVC is better for motion but not as good for color compared to WMV. Only issue I had is the h.264 codecs assume Studio RGB colorspace so I had to compensate gamma for that (there's also a "computer RGB to Studio RGB" plugin in the Levels filter).

  • Hello. For most shots i left it in "normal picture" mode. I've dabbled with "Intelligent Auto" but it seemed to generate some unwanted noise to the scenes.

No EV compensation used here. Despite the video being shot at night, the Las Vegas lights are BRIGHT. So it appears that the cam excels in low light, but really its just about average in my opinion.

I also used Sony Vegas. (Version 8 Pro)

Thanks for watching. I look forward to watching your vids. It's a great little cam!

  • Very nice! I recently got a TS1 and just started putting my first videos together with Sony Vegas 9.0. Were most of your clips shot using the Night Scenery Mode? Did you use any ev compensation for those bright Vegas lights? I'm curious what editing software you used? Cheers!
