  • You're not suposed to use the stippling brush that way

  • I'm going to disagree on a few points here. First sponges are so inexpensive and you can use a new one with each application. I prefer using sponges. Bacteria can also grow on brushes and powder puffs so washing them is the best idea and you can use baby shampoo or any inexpensive cleanser to wash your brushes, sponges, or puffs. As for using your fingers, makeup artist Bobbi Brown uses hers and recommends it as it warms up the foundation and concealers so yes, you can use your fingers as well.

  • do pigments ever have an "expiration" dae/ time limit?

  • I saw how you used the stippling brush. Just wanted to get you at tip on how to use it. You should not swirl the brush around. As the name says: stippling brush...you should just stipple it around and not swirl, its just destoying the nice finish you get from just stippling. Hope this helps, try it! You will see a difference, it will be that airbrushed look. :)

  • sorry wait i missed what brand that is. it doesn't look like the MAC 187 and i heard nordstrom...?

  • wow i love the powder brush trick

  • Coastal Sense has a good stippling brush for about 8$ I think, I got it and I like it.

  • she looks pretty without any make-up on! i envy her so much

  • Go to costco and buy the Borghese 8-brush set over there for 25 bucks. It has a stippling brush and it does a good job for applying both blush and foundation... just without the steep price tag.

  • thanks for this vid ! love it (:

ulta has a highlighting brush which is supposed to be exactly like the 187, but its ~20 bucks.

  • what's better for the application of foundation- a regular foundation brush or the stippling brush?

  • It depends on if you want a lighter or heavier application

    Heavy app- Foundation Brush

    Lighter app- Stippling

  • Yea but she used the stippling brush wrong.

  • why cant we use liquid for natural bristles?

  • u can but it will be a very sheer application. Natural bristles absorb the product, where as synthetic brushes don't.

  • i wish you could have fixed the lighting in the video

  • so the 187 can be used for foundation, powder and blush consecutively? Do you wash it after every use? I'm about to buy this, so excited! But scared won't know what to do, it'll be my first mac brush ever!!

    Please help?

    loved thiis vid, thanks!!

  • If you're going to use the 187 for more than one product, ie., foundation AND blush, I would suggest washing it after each use. I mean that would make sense, right? *lol* However I prefer to have one 187 for each type of product; one for foundation and one for blush.

  • Is that a MAC brush???

  • I LOVE your hair with the highlights and you always have a different part

  • heyyy :D

im looking for a nice palette concealer. do u have any suggestions?

  • 太光,好幸苦看.

  • i think that says it's too bright... to look at. or something. wow my chinese sucks hhaha

  • Yeap you're close. it says that it's too bright and it's too 'torturous' to watch.

  • i love your vids but this one was to light i couldn't see anything....:)still great

  • I LOVE my Northern Light. I didn't want it at first but my friend thought it was beautiful on me and talked me into it. Im sooo glad I did, I use it almost every day now.

  • i have always loved that brush even when i wasnt working at mac! its very expensive though!

  • i don't mind if it's too bright,i admire you , you know everything about brushes!!!:) thanks a lot for your tips

  • Man with all of your tips I'll be looking good for those boys next year. LOL!

  • hi.. can i use my fingers or a sponge instead of the foundation brush?

  • you can but its not recommended. :)

  • Why isn't it recommended? I know why using your fingers isn't but why not the sponge?

  • Lots of potential bacteria can grow on the sponges. thats how a lot of break outs occur. By using the same sponge over and over. The oil from your face to the compact and wiping it back on your face. Its a cycle.

  • Thank you !

  • OMG!! thank you for that comment i did not know that.. I use a sponge instead of my brush when im in a hurry..

  • cant see anything! too bright!

  • don't you love the new twisted collection! i bought that brush set the day it came out!

  • Your past couple videos have been so bright I can barely see any makeup :(

  • Man you ladies put way too much time into looking good, I mean a man basically combs his hair, applies what deoderant, brushes his teeth, ofcourse all this after a shower (sometimes). I do think it is nice of pursebuzz to put this on youtube for young girls or boys to access and learn quickly how to apply makeup.

  • Not to mention that we spend a fortune to look good for our undeserving boyfriends!

  • Too BRIGHT! All I see is WHITE.

  • I agree with the rest..far too bright.

I liked how you had the lighting when you went really closeup to show the purple section of your undereye for the concealer video.

  • Clip's too bright!!!

  • love your vids, but like some have said,it´s too bright, can´t see the colors and the result.

  • I dont like to put on foundation or powder on my face, my skin is very clear. I ususally just throw on some mascara, chapstick, and eyeliner but the foundation you used in this video looks really natural, where can you get it?

  • you can get it at MAC stores

  • Its MAC hypereal NC 25.. but if don't use it.. then I wouldn't start. Just some fun blushes or shimmer is great! :)

    take care

  • Do you think that i could subsitute vanilla pig for quick frost? Otherwise, i really love this.

  • I don't see why you couldn't use whatever colors you want -- it's different for everyone.. I think she's just letting everyone know what colors she's using.

  • she's right.. just the Idea.. I LOVE VANILLA... If i could eat that stuff I would ..hahaha

  • why can't you use a natural fiber brush for foundation?

  • She pretty much said in the video ... because it's liquid.

  • too bright :(

  • thanks for the instructions, but the light's too bright, can't see the result

  • did you hit the fall line sale at norstrums?

  • Are those your shoes in the back?? You should incorporate shoes in to pursebuzz... LOL Probably a little too much tho. Loving the tutorials!

  • you should think of redoing this video because the image is not so clear =[

    PLZ! REDO!

    i love ur vids!

  • I don't know why all the videos I made today are too light :( sad face....

  • this cam isn't as good as the other one, in the old video's i could see your makeup, and your face, and your tools clearly. you have a great application, i just can't see it

  • Wish that MAC palette was still available :( Great vid as always!

  • I want that brush so bad now. I am awful at using my foundation brush.

  • Hi, What brushes come in the Pro Set and how much is it? Thanks.

  • I think the lighting is a bit too bright, can't really see the colours that are being blended, but nonetheless i love this tutorial! thanks

  • where did u get ur brush i think it's nice
