I remember seeing my first Bronson movie, must have been 30 years ago, Stone Killer. I thought that was the best movie I had ever seen and still rate it right up there today with his others.
i really enjoyed your death wish video, nice to meet another Bronson fan....for me Chato's land HAS to be inthere, also Death Hunt, because it has the other guy i know you also love,Lee Marvin..xx I EVEN WROTE A SONG ABOUT CHATO'S LAND hahahahaha the song is called "the killing of Eli Saunders" will release one day if i get a record deal...xx
@chuckitdotnet the first Death Wish wasn't cheesy at all. But i like cheesy movies, so yeah. The first 3 movies do not count as Bronson movies to me, since he is not the main star in them. thx for sharing your opinion.
Where is "Hard Times"? That is arguably his best film, and at the very least in the top five. I, of course agree with "Deathwish ", "The Mechanic" and "Mr. Majestyk", but the 3rd "Deathwish " installment was terrible. The fact that it was filmed on a back lot in England with an unrealistically recreated New York set (I live in NYC) was reason enough for me to dislike it. "Red Sun", "Deathhunt" or "Breakout" would have been better choices than D3. Glad to see you're a Bronson fan, however.
@hhhk20 Hard Times is very good, but didn't make the top 5 favourite. it may be better in quality than DW3, but Death Wish 3 has more entertainment value. :) Death hunt is awesome, but I'm not a huge fan of Breakout and Red Sun..
dude charles bronson is my favorite acture i love that guy i m not gay but that guy is so awsume you know steven mqueen that guy is awsume to and james coburn three gr8 acteurs
1- Hard Times 2- The Mechanic 3- Once Upon A Time In The West 4- Death Wish 5- From Noon Till 3 6- Chato's Land 7- Mr Majestyk 8- Stone Killer 9- Breakheart Pass 10- Death Wish 2 11- Violent City 12- Chino
i cant understand why MGM video put DEATH WISH 2, 3 & 4 in full screen instead of WIDESCREEN DVD..? makes ya wonder what the HELL Ted Turner was thinking(in case you wernt aware Ted owns the whole MGM film library )
I finally finished all the movies to be honest I only like Death Wish and The Mechanic. Mr. Majestik was ok but Death Wish 2 & 3 being unwatchable in my opinion. Keep up the good work I enjoy your videos. - Haydn
I can agree with the Austrian critic on Death Wish and the Mechanic, but the rest no. Have to include here Once Upon A Time in the West (Yes it is an ensemble cast, but and Cardinale certainly dominate the film) Also where is Hard Times, also Violent City is an interesting film.
I only picked movies with Bronson in the lead role. I LOVED Violent City and really liked Hard Times, but they didn't make the Top 5. They would surely be into a Top 10.
bronson did a movie a movie i dont remember the name but hes in the woods and i remember he gets shot in the face in the end i was a kick ass movie do u know the name of the movie?
quite new release and very recommended Bronson. Finally with good treatment: Rider On The Rain, Optimum, UK. Great mystery/crime-movie.
couple of more recent and enhanced Bronson releases Stone Killer (Sony Scandinavia, first time on DVD) and White Buffalo (Shock, Australia, widescreen).
older UK-White Buffalo is very low quality. picture looks like vhs-copy. cover art is cool.
Here's my top 5 that aren't on your list (basically I'm adding on to make it a top 10) - Once Upon a Time in the West, Magnificent Seven, Dirty Dozen, 10 to Midnight, and Murphy's Law.
I own all of these too (but I haven't watched too many yet), except Death Wish 2, because I want to have the Unrated-version of it and it is only available on Australian DVD.
What are your thoughts on "The Evil that Men Do". People say it's his most violent movie.
Great list. The Mechanic, DW and DW3 definitely take place in top 5.
I may put 10 to Midnight in my top 5. It may have been little bit inspired by Dirty Harry, but has so much of 80's-craziness-sleaze-cheese in it.
Chatos Land is also fantastic stuff, but in top 5 it is hard to pick. It's more action and not words from Bronson. In those little moments when he's in.
I do think mechanic chould be above death wish 3. Not that death wish 3 isn't good, just mechanic is better

Wish I get a lot of Bronson's best movies. 10 to midnight, Murphy's law, Messenger of death, Assissination, Death wish 2-3-4.
DirtyHarryFan88 2 years ago
I would have Murphys Law in place of Death Wish 2 which I'm not a big fan of. Death Hunt and Telefon are good ones too.

yeah it's violent alright. pretty exploitation-ish stuff. but a very good movie, imo. A must-have for any Bronson fan.

With Bronson as support
5. The Dirty Dozen
4. Magnificent Seven
3. House of Wax
2. The Great Escape
1. ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST
(note: remember that the lead actor in that one is Henry Fonda, even though he is the villain. Leone Magic)
Bronson as lead
totally agree with your list...
