as a year round cycle commuter in a major city, i think i speak for many when i say "thanks for making it harder to be a real cyclist, thanks for making it more difficult for people to take cycling seriously as transportation."
With 9% unemployment, dependence on foreign oil, and our economy still in the tank I think Polar Bears are a little lower on the priority list. Lets take care of humans first.

I ride a bike because it's fun, its great exercise, and it's transportation. It's not for saving polar bears,which I eat for lunch on occasion.
