Harry didn't help her cause he was scared, and he knew what Lisa would do. She was a monster, she would in the end kill him, stop him from saving his daughter. Harry did something that was extremely difficult to do. He left a friend to save someone he loved. Plus, after the hell he has been put through, i don't think he could believe that this happened.

Now I see why they killed her off, she was the only GOOD VA in the game, games couldn't tolerate that back then. Lisa was the only believable character for me in SH 1, I was almost in tears when I saw the blood coming down her face, her transforming into what she always was, but didn't realize until then, her cries were so real, it was believably sad.

She's becoming one of "them" - not alive, not dead - condemned to the nightmare world. To Hell. Lisa knows exactly what's happening and what it means. 2) Harry cannot save her. He never could. You realize now that her fate was sealed long before you met her, full of hope, hours before this scene occurs...

@halo3e2w1q Yes and no. Easiest thing for you to do if you're not gonna play the game is go to a channel on here - username is Fungo. That person has every cutscene from Silent Hill on a playlist, so you can watch them straight through in order. There is SO much more to the experience than that though. Just watching cutscenes is like trying to understand what sex feels like by watching pr0ns. But... if you're never going to play the game, it'll give you a better idea of the plot and story.

Lisa Garland was a nurse who was charged to nurse alessa.
in the games she is mostly seen in "the otherworld" when the whole towns starts to decay and turn evil. By the end of the game she is driven to the conclusion that she is in fact dead. Shortly after telling harry this, blood trickles from various wounds in a manifestation of that conclusion. She begs Harry to save her, stumbling towards him, but Harry flees the room and bars her exit from behind a closed door.
This scene affected me a lot when i first played this and still does, it deserves an oscar of some sort, kinda felt sad she died, usually in a game you don't care but this i did, ALMOST cried ;)

sorry i know everyone is branding this as the greatest scene in game history but i have never played silent hill can someone tell me why this is emotional. and the events leading up to this scene

@halo3e2w1q Not nearly the same effect unless you play the game yourself, but... this scene is sad and poignant for two big reasons. 1) Lisa's not dying, only changing. It is worse than death. She's becoming one of "them" - not alive, not dead - condemned to the nightmare world. To Hell. Lisa knows exactly what's happening and what it means. 2) Harry cannot save her. He never could. You realize now that her fate was sealed long before you met her, full of hope, hours before this scene occurs...

@GAMMATRON5000 ah thank you i am going to see a walkthrough to grasp the events leading up to this i know its not the same effect as playing it but i just need to know. i seem to understand the basis... so you were harry gone into silent hill then meet a girl named lisa.... then she learns she may be one of them... then you try to save her, then you think you have saved her until this scene... suppose im way off

@halo3e2w1q Yes and no. Easiest thing for you to do if you're not gonna play the game is go to a channel on here - username is Fungo. That person has every cutscene from Silent Hill on a playlist, so you can watch them straight through in order. There is SO much more to the experience than that though. Just watching cutscenes is like trying to understand what sex feels like by watching pr0ns. But... if you're never going to play the game, it'll give you a better idea of the plot and story.

Then one of your allies suddenly freaks out about her true identity in front of you and starts bleeding everywhere and have trouble walking. You cant really blame the poor guy for leaving her,considering all the heavy shit hes been through.....

@TheQueenofMars White Claudia, exaclty. Right before Harry enters the code "ALERT" and comes in the room to start the dialog at this video,there was many boxes "Psycho TV" to the left of him. Its a name of the drug, that made of White Claudia plant. By the way, in the far corner of the room in video these boxes are also possible to see.

@TheQueenofMars One more thing. Lisa appears only in NIGHTMARE Alchemilla in all the game, that points at her deep drug addiction. She couldn't percept ordinary world even short while.
But the red liquid is Aglaophotis, something like anti-demon stuff, that you can find in smashed vessel in the Alchemilla's Hospital (to save Cybil for "+" ending) and near the bike in the bottle at the far part of the town (to save Alessa/Cheryl for "Good" ending). Liquid of Destiny )

Wow, just thinking bout this now, very easy to find on youtube. Played this when I was 14 before it came out in the UK and the "copy" I had was in black & white for some reason but this game just made me soak up every single little detail, it was difficult as hell cause I was used to playing super mario- not this shit! But I was so captured by it I didn't want to give up, and I remember being like 'I gotta help that chick' then this scene happened and my heart sunk, like, I couldn't save her.

Lisa Garland was a nurse who was charged to nurse alessa.
in the games she is mostly seen in "the otherworld" when the whole towns starts to decay and turn evil. By the end of the game she is driven to the conclusion that she is in fact dead. Shortly after telling harry this, blood trickles from various wounds in a manifestation of that conclusion. She begs Harry to save her, stumbling towards him, but Harry flees the room and bars her exit from behind a closed door.
