The grounds of Boone Hall are lovely, and the people who run the tours are very nice, but I was still disappointed to find out the house is not original, and was built in the 1930's .
Absolutely breathtaking this was such an important and beautiful time of this great country's history! The southern culture was the best in the world....too bad those damn jealous yanks came and robbed history ...im from new york and i agree the south shouldve kicked us the hell back to new york
@farno914 Hi. Saw you post form two years ago. It might interest you to know that there was a sizeable movement in New York to seceed from the Union and join the Confederacy during the war. Too bad it didn't work; we could have used the help!

Hallo i come from Germany and since i have looked the Movie "The North and the South" in german "Fackeln im Strum" i love the South.
I hope my dream soon come true to visit the South of USA espsecially North Carolina, Lousianna, West Virgina.
Now i will try to play this song with my Klavier.
But befor i can do this i need the Name of this song i hope you may answer.
