This is totally real, my best friends cousin has one and she can change it whenever she wants, you can freak peopl out by changing it everytime they blink
The silk substrate onto which the chips are mounted eventually dissolves away inside the body, leaving just the electronics behind. The silicon chips are around the length of a small grain of rice — about 1 millimeter, and just 250 nanometers thick. The sheet of silk will keep them in place, molding to the shape of the skin when saline solution is added.
1mm doesn't sound that small and would probably cause a lot of irritability and gradual scar tissue build up. Also covering the entire surface of the skin would require many treatments to eliminate pixelization and create a smooth picture across the entire surface.. And what about the chips, are these transparent oled's? are they touch sensitive or is that a separate treatment? what software would you use to map hundreds of thousands of oleds together to produce a picture?
lol no clue, i had found this video from a stumble though. the stumble had dropped me into the article, so that block of text was just me copy n pasting so you could see what they said. sorryy
