Most awesome and chilling, when we were in Yellowstone we were lucky enough to see a smaller pack crossing a basin, I didn't know it then but I realized something was different about the sound of their howls and other loud noises we had been hearing whee we were setting... very few people can understand the message a howl can carry. Most ppl would think these wolves sound like nagging kids, or something like that. But the beauty is easily sensed in every cry when one can accept their diversity and inability to welcome us in the pack. This was filmed in some kind of zoo, these wolves were in a pen and nobody was making a single sound that was louder than very quiet talking. They just started howling for no obvious reason. They probably felt like it, so I was just lucky to stand next to it with the cam running.
As cool as seeing a pack of wolves like that, those ppl need to be shot if their in the bg making noise just to catch some wolves howling. Let me throw a brick at you, just to see you bleed.

the one in the middle, by the two trees, is the leader. You can see she/he is doing it properly, turning different directions t fufill the terrotorial aspect of warning all in each direction.

Most awesome and chilling, when we were in Yellowstone we were lucky enough to see a smaller pack crossing a basin, I didn't know it then but I realized something was different about the sound of their howls and other loud noises we had been hearing whee we were setting... I did some research and found out it is true... Wolf howls Do Not Echo...fascinating... Wonderful Video, Best I've seen.

very few people can understand the message a howl can carry. Most ppl would think these wolves sound like nagging kids, or something like that. But the beauty is easily sensed in every cry when one can accept their diversity and inability to welcome us in the pack. I say, that is what it takes to be in a pack; understanding and respecting one another, and trying your hardest to live the ways of the wolf.

I`ve heard this choir for real once,you can easily understand why people used to call them the devils dogs in the days of past,when they were in great numbers at night and close to the livestock.But they`re a magnificent part of nature and we should leave them in peace now,for all future.

Beautiful creatures. Wolves are simply one of my favorite wild animals. I think their howling can mean a lot of different things; sadness, joy, calling out to fellow members, or as a warning sign. I just love wolves. They deserve much better than the treatment they endure.

Yes, wolves are beautiful creatures. Just like dogs, they have a close connection to human.
And yes, people who hurt them are just PURE EVIL. AIhhhh... but what can we do? There are just a hand full of us...

Yes bite scars on the nose and infection in his eyes. I think it looked like an old animal. The dont get to go to the vet> I have a high content wolfdog and I love him. Most misunderstood animals.

Love the way they all get narked off at the end and either start falling asleep or plying with each other. Funnily enough my dog does that if you lie down (i.e. comes and sniffs ur face)!

I have a few Wolves and when I play this video they go nuts! Before I start it I say "it is time for your singing lessons." My room mate gets a big kick out of when I do so... Thank God! Good room mates are hard to find! Especially ones that cook!! Peace.

Why do you have pet wolves? I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have wild animals as pets unless you have a license to prove you can care for them.

I keep everything legal and have been doing so for 25 years. I no longer breed them because I have found that although everybody wants Wolves they do not even care for their own Dogs!! My God, just look at the Dog Shelters!! Peace.

These are Eurasian Wolves (Canis Lupus Lupus) they originally were found from most of Europe, except the Iberian Peninsula (where the Spanish Wolf and Iberian wolf lived), to China. Wolves vary greatly, and the best way to start an argument among wolf biologists is to ask how many species and subspecies of wolf exist.

haha, too funny. my dog does this same thing, ie, whining as tho hes in pain and then howling, followed by a couple hours of sleep... he does this when A i provoke him by imitating him and B when the neighbors dog is in heat... its kind of cool to know some wolf survives in our domesticated dogs...

At one point they sounded like an air raid alarm. Very beautiful singing though. I prefer singing instead of howling for some reason.

This was filmed in some kind of zoo, these wolves were in a pen and nobody was making a single sound that was louder than very quiet talking. They just started howling for no obvious reason. They probably felt like it, so I was just lucky to stand next to it with the cam running.
