@mkirbs7 You mean girl! :P Yes, I googled some of them and I also scanned some from The Song Remains The Same DVD pack. If you want any, I could e-mail them to you.
Amazing photos! Many of which I'd never seen before. Great job! Just wondering if there is any video out there of Page playing this song. Would have loved to have been his "good rider".
At 1.34 you can see Robert on the balcony of The Hyatt (Riot house) on Sunset Strip in LA. Ive stayed in that same room at the hotel, but I was told not to throw a TV out of the window, on account I was 7 at the time. Fucking spoil sports!! I tried the Chateau Marmont and they said the same! They said come back when you are 18!! I told them to fuck off, cos by the time im 18 I would be grown up! They said fine, here is the menu for grown ups. I said ok the pate is fine for a starter!
dude that includes kashmir, in the light, nobody's fault but mine, fool in the rain, custard pie, ten years gone, the wanton song, sorry theres no way this one song is better than all of those. The last two albums were obviously not as good as the first 6 though.
yeah, i guess coda slipped my mind cuz it was after bonham died. sorry. but coda has some good songs. like were gonna groove and hey hey what can i do and stuff like that
hey hey what can i do isint on coda. its gra song but hey didnt put it on any album. they could gicve on coda great shit like baby come on home traveling riverside blues surag mam and other cause they have soo many awsome outtake songs on youtube that are better than song from coda presence and ittod but are not on any cd
@Alu142 Actually it wasn't on the original. When jimmy remastered it in the 90s i believe, he threw it on there. But originally, you are correct, it was not on an album. still a great song though :)
@cmarivs The Lemon Song is actually a combination of blues numbers. The riff is from Howlin Wolf's excellent "Killing Floor." The lyrics from the Lemon bit are from Travelling Riverside Blues by Robert Johnson (this is a cover), and it's actually suggested that Johnson got his lyrics from an older blues artists.
@cmarivs actually Traveling Riverside Blues is an Eric Johnson song from the 30s... and actually contains the "squeeze my lemon" lyrics... Zep just used them for the Lemon Song
@cmarivs The lyrics of Lemon Song are also based on a Blues first recorded by Robert Johnson,(which doesn't necessarily means him, Johnson, is the original author as they could be classic Blues songs echoing through the ages of before the records technologies)
some amazing pictures man! did you just get them from google? :)
