  • At 1.34 you can see Robert on the balcony of The Hyatt (Riot house) on Sunset Strip in LA. Ive stayed in that same room at the hotel, but I was told not to throw a TV out of the window, on account I was 7 at the time. Fucking spoil sports!! I tried the Chateau Marmont and they said the same! They said come back when you are 18!! I told them to fuck off, cos by the time im 18 I would be grown up! They said fine, here is the menu for grown ups. I said ok the pate is fine for a starter!

  • The slide guitar sounds so cool... Whoever invented that technique must have been a flippin' genius.

  • god tell me why they didnt put this on any studio album? this is better than their last 3 album together

  • dude that includes kashmir, in the light, nobody's fault but mine, fool in the rain, custard pie, ten years gone, the wanton song, sorry theres no way this one song is better than all of those. The last two albums were obviously not as good as the first 6 though.

  • @Alu142 Actually it wasn't on the original. When jimmy remastered it in the 90s i believe, he threw it on there. But originally, you are correct, it was not on an album. still a great song though :)

  • This song and the Lemon Song are both inspired by Robert Johnson songs.

  • The lemon song, too? I mean, this has the same title as a Robert Johnson song, but I didn't know about The Lemon Song.

  • Staggering Photos...Some of John got me choked up...THANK YOU!

  • @khoughton411

I understand. Bonzo was an amazingly talented man with an unfortunate demise.

  • @JuniixForever he actually had a pretty good voice. he sang some great backup vocals to to robert's.

  • pretty cool song (reminds me of Lemon Song)

  • @smilingeuterpe , hey, did you listen to the end? They actually sing Lemon Song lyrics. Good ears :D

  • @cmarivs The Lemon Song is actually a combination of blues numbers. The riff is from Howlin Wolf's excellent "Killing Floor." The lyrics from the Lemon bit are from Travelling Riverside Blues by Robert Johnson (this is a cover), and it's actually suggested that Johnson got his lyrics from an older blues artists.

  • @demravager aah, cool thanks man.

  • @cmarivs actually Traveling Riverside Blues is an Eric Johnson song from the 30s... and actually contains the "squeeze my lemon" lyrics... Zep just used them for the Lemon Song

  • @jsmitty7 I was told in the meantime, but thanks for the info anyway (you meant Robert :D). Cheers!

  • @cmarivs Listen to the original Traveling Riverside Blues by RJ. Those lyrics are at the end of it.

  • @cmarivs The lyrics of Lemon Song are also based on a Blues first recorded by Robert Johnson,(which doesn't necessarily means him, Johnson, is the original author as they could be classic Blues songs echoing through the ages of before the records technologies)

  • fucking cool guitar..:)

  • Fantastic slide show - what wonderful photos! Very nice all around, and one of my favorite Zep songs, too. Many thanks!

  • It souns similar to When The Levee Breaks

  • esse riif é quase um plagio do I am Yours do Johnny Winter... mas no blues todo mundo pega arranjos antigos e vai brincando com eles, é bem normal

  • great pix

  • talk about BIG hair :31!

  • parece calypso!

  • tu é cu de galinha mesmo...como tu compara uma das melhores bandas de todos os tempos com uma merda...acho q tu deve ser o chimbinha mesmo
