@SWRNC thanks man! ok I have one more dumb question..when someone tries to paint a car orange or yellow, a light colored primer would make it brighter and a darker shade primer would make it a shade darker, does this go for darker colors? would a light primer under green paint change the shade? or as longest it's 3 wet coats of each I should be good?

@Jx1x3 You would only use a white epoxy sealer/primer for "BRIGHT" colors such as orange, yellow, electric green, ect. On standard to dark colors you can use any color sealer/primer you want. Start with 3 full wet coats of paint and then check for hiding purposes, you might have to put on one more to cover. It all depends what brand paint your using as well.

hey Pete I have a question, if paint the fender on my car the factor color, it's dark green, would applying more coats give me a darker color and using less give me a lighter shade of green? how many coats should i paint to get the correct shade of green?

@Jx1x3 You should be good with just 3 full wet coats of paint and 3 full wet coats of clear, if you put more paint on, no it won't get darker, thats a myth, the paint will only get so dark on you and it's usually a 3 coat deal to where the paint covers and is at it's best optimizesm stages. Pete

pete was there any wetsanding needed after the clear coat if so what grade beginning to end im going to do my car this month just want every thing in order also is there a time line befor the pigment setup again as your laying down the clear thanks bro need your input on this

@ZONER4201 This type of clear you don't buff,, it has to be done in a very clean enviorment, if you buff it, it will get more glossy as you buff. Just wait 15 to 20 minutes before coats and the clear will lay down fine. Make sure you use full wet coats, so as not to have dry spots. Pete

Why should a guy like me carry around some IPhone or Droid, doing the kind of work I do...Tried to use Minnies phone, couldn't even get the tough screen to work,, I guesse my fingers are to rough, not sensitive enough ....
