  • wow hope ur bunny stays healthy :)

  • @ShiroChii90 thanks, i've had house rabbits for over 20 years now and "grandpa" here in the video will turn 12 this June. he's my oldest yet but certainly showing his age.

  • Lol, My rabbit does that too. He doesn't ever poop or pee though. Yeah but it's cute. I had a Holland Lop Bunny, There so sweet, and kind. LOVE THEM AND THIS VIDEO<3

  • @BirdBunnies Thanks, Grandpa (pictured in this video) is now 11 1/2 years old. No more jumping on the bed but still loved like crazy! >:3

  • @mrurt Wow! He's older than most rabbits! Hope to see more videos from him!:3

  • @BirdBunnies yes, he's definitely up there but we do have some real old timers over at bunspace. gramp's doesn't even make it into the top 100 of oldest. we've come a long way over the last 20 years for sure!

the only reason i don't use him in videos is because he doesn't do a lot, lol! he's been blind for the past year or so and also had one eye removed. i'm afraid watching the old man "guinea pig walk" across the floor and bumper car down the hall is about the limit of his entertainment. :)

  • @mrurt Oh! I see now! Well I haven't had a rabbit live longer than 8 years, and my 8 year old rabbit is still alive. She's the oldest I've had! Lol! You uh.. definitely beat me by some years! I have a blind rabbit and a half blind rabbit. So I see what your dealing with in that situation. Hope for the best for your little wabbit! :)!

  • Our rabbit sleeps on the bed :D

  • omg cute!

  • what wrong with its ears?

  • How cute! :3 Reminds me of when I used to take naps with my dwarf rabbit, Velvet. Mind you, I usually woke up wet afterwards but she was so cute...

  • MY BUNNY PEEES ON MY BED!!!!!!!!!! >:(

  • Ehhmm.. how did it get up there?

  • @emwjmannen2 he hopped up there. i have seen my rabbits jump over baby gates in the hall. ever seen a rabbit hopping competition?

  • @mrurt haha ok :)

  • @emwjmannen2 Haha do you even know anything about rabbits? They jump REALLY high.

  • @Emmmerzzz haha not my rabbit! XD

  • I'm getting a bunny soon hopefully! Preferably a holland lop like yours. Are they very hard to take care of? Plus, i just wanted to say you're bunny is adorable :)

  • omg did you take my rabbit!!!!!

My rabbit looks just the same just that her ear doesn't stand up like that.

    he/she is so cuit!!!

  • thats so cuteee! im getting a holland lop bunny this weekend i already picked it out and they are so much cuter than the dwarf bunniesss !(err no offense to those... with ... dawrf bunnies...)

  • @mdlnrsrules no argument here

  • @mdlnrsrules holland lops are a dwarf breed. Dwarf means they are very small.

  • @mdlnrsrules yeah,u go on wiki and it says holland lops are the most attractive domistic lop

  • Omg that is such a cute bunny!!! Where can I get a Holland Lop bunny!?!?

  • @Alexa8047 check your local rabbit rescue

  • that would of been funnyif there were 2 bunnys under the covers

  • Come see my French Lop /Bedlington Terrier love story sometime. :)

  • my bunny will thump when i put him on the bed, but it doesn't sound like much cause of all the blankets. i usually take him off right away cause i'm afraid he'll pee.

  • i wish when i came home from work and turned on the light i had bunnies on my bed. that would blow my mind.

  • cute......no cutest

  • cute

  • How did your bunny even get on your bed?

  • @AungTH1 except for dottie, who has always felt that all feet must remain on the floor...all of my bunnies like to climb. sometimes i come into the room and they are on the back of the sofa. sometimes they have jumped up into the bay window. grandpa loved hopping on the pillow top mattress and napping there.

  • @mrurt how do you get a rabbit so sit on your lap? I thought rabnbits don't like beign held, no?

  • @3333sweetie very few rabbits really enjoy being held. a few tolerate it fairly well but most hate it. two of mine choose to hop up in the chair/sofa with me and stay. their choice, as a result they may stay for a long time (bailey has been on the sofa for an hour with me, jumps down, uses the litter pan, hops back up).

those who want a pet that enjoys being picked up, carried, held need to re-consider.

  • @mrurt So why do u see all these videos here with people having rabbits on their laps? Can rabbits be playful with their owners? My friend is allergic to cats & doesn't have time for a dog, so I was thinking of researching rabbits for her.

  • @3333sweetie repeat...SOME tolerate it, most do not. i've raised rabbits from birth, had house rabbits for 21 years now. you can't make them all be that way.

  • @mrurt how will yuou know they won't tolerate it? also, can you litterbox train them to urinate & defecate in there?

  • I cannot sleep in my bed EVER again my lop ear bunny Kimmy thinks the bed is hers and when I lie down she beats the crap out of me. R.I.P Kimmy!

  • Comment removed

  • I though my bunny was the only one that did that stretchy pose, I guess not!

By the way, do rabbits sleep with theire eyes open? Because I've never caught my rabbit sleeping with her eyes closed

  • @SelenaFraser rabbits have a nictitating membrane, which is a third eye lid. i have approached dottie before and though her eyes were open once i touched her she appeared to be startled awake.

  • @SelenaFraser

it could also be that your rabbit is very sensitive (most likely by instinct)

like my bunny can't sleep when there are people walking past him constantly, he sleeps during the day when no ones home :P

  • so cute, your videos are so cute and funny!

  • Do you think it would be O.K. for a large rabbit to sleep in bed with you? I feel bad leaving it in its cage all night, so I want to let it sleep in my bed. But do you think it will pee or poop in my bed? That would NOT be fun!

  • Cute lop bunny. Did you sleep with it?

  • did your holland lop dump onto the bed? coz my netherland dwarf always tries to jump up onto our couch but always fails.lol

  • @SuprBen yes, grandpa jumped up on top of my pillow top mattress regularly, of course today he is a senior citizen and finds hopping difficult. (a little over 10 years old now).

bailey has always been my biggest jumper but dottie can barely manage the front steps! my newest, minnie, jumps so high, so quickly it makes us all nervous.

  • how adorable hah?!!:D

  • very cute

  • check oout my rabbit gingy

  • AWW that is so cute. he just laied down o your bed like that he must love you!!!

  • My bunny doesnt let me and my daughter hold him like we want to! We pet him alot but he flips out when I try and pick him up! What can I do?

  • @thecrimmreaper rabbits don't like to be picked up, because in the wild they're pray so it scares them..makes them think they are being attacked. however, the love you to sit on the floor with them and when they realllly get to love and trust you they will jump on your bed and stuff! :)

  • how cute!

  • awweee so adorable!!!!

Check out a video of my bunny!

    It is under;

Latte - My holland lop buck

  • oooh he looks like he is enjoying himself so comfortably

  • 0:08. Gotta love the sleeping position. Haha.. That's GOT TO be comfortable. :)

  • I'm thinking of getting a rabbit how often do they urinate i mean do they do it on your lap at all that is what scares me about buying one please help cause i don't know

  • I have two bunnies and when they are in my bed they never urinate or poo ^^

Maybe they know that they shouldn't do that, cuz I have them for 7 years. ;-)

  • It all depends if you litter train them right. My bun would not usually do it unless she has no choice... other that that, its all good!

  • if you properly train them to use a litter box they realy do only go pee in it.

My Netherland Dwarf only pees in his litter box. The poop doesn't matter so much as it's basically just little pellets. Unless you feed them iceberg lettuce; which I do NOT advise (gives them diarrhea).

    Hope that helps!

  • they can be trained to use a litter box. just get a plastic pan or something, but newspaper or other bedding, and then put a lot of timothy hay on one end. rabbits normally go when they eat. however, it might take about a week or so to fully get the message. until then you may have a few accidents!! Mine never urinates unless its in a litter box. However, if introduced to a new play area, it'll poop in a corner.

  • usually girls don't urinate as often an men

  • Wish I could let my bunny on m bed, but every time he gets on it he pees. I think he's marking territory or something. But that is so cute!

  • everytime my rabbit thinks something is cozy and warm she pees A LOT once, she sneeked into my mums wardrobe and she chilled in my moms socks. the socks were WET after that

  • um, that sounds like something a bunny would do. haha

  • Yeah! :) Your bunny is too cute :)

  • rofl ^^

  • @MagicMadame if only there were diapers for rabbits...

  • My bunny does that all the time

  • aw its so cute how she lays down <3

  • Aw cute bunny!

  • I wish my bun bun would sleep on my bed. Alas I think it's too high for her to get in and out of :(

  • My lop always tries to make the bed, and gets agitated when its messy.

  • aww that is so cute!

  • lol same here

  • @dzemergency Mine does the same thing. I have a black dwarf and he turned 2 today. H always does that and this morning i was playing with him when he jumped up onto my bed pulled the cover over himself and got lost in my bed. :-)

  • its all a matter of toilet training (yes this can be done with rabbits)

  • lol?

  • my bunny always sleeps on my bed at night, the only time he go`s into his cage is to eat, drink and poop.

  • my bunny also sleeps at night at the corner of my/our bed.

  • omg i got my ginny pig doin the same thing:Lits never in its cage but to go tolite:Lit likes my bed:Lsad wee thing:L

  • my bunny will pee on my bed if he stays there too long.. -_____-!!! does yours pee on ur bed?

  • no but one has targeted the sofa on occasion. :(

  • my bunny does that too, if you keep him there to long or strike him or give him attention because he wants to mark that place.

  • @Winnie25 haha mine would always get on my bed and pee on it! like she was saying "this is mine now"

so I got risers to make my bed too high for her to jump on it :D

  • @Winnie25 My bunny likes to sleep on my bed as well, but unfortunately he does pee in it as well. It's a territorial thing. But they also might do it cause they smell you there so they try to own it. What i suggest is getting a washable mattress protector to put on under your sheets.

  • @Winnie25 Mine used to pee ON me. We got him neutered. Is yours?

  • Aw! your bunnies remind me of my baby holland lop, Holland loves to jump, run around like a nutt and he loves to sprawl on the floor. Unfortunatly i dont let him onto my bed because he will mark it. Are those the only two bunnies that you have?

  • nope, we have a "new" edition...dottie, the only girl. i told her she'd make her debut soon enough

  • your rabbits act just like my rabbit, although i dont let him on my bed, Holland loves to spread out across the floor and also run around like a maniac :)he also looks similar to bailey, except for the fact that he's grey and white

  • so your saying she could be sleeping? Hmm..I'll watch her more closely than ever now. She does often stay still while she's laying down and doesn't ever blink.

  • i wish my bunny was friendly enough to do that. though she never even sleeps in the five years I've had her. I don't think she ever did sleep.

  • i've observed my bunnies sleeping with their eyes open on several occasions. when i first saw it i had a hard time believing they were asleep

  • my rabbit pee on my bed lol

  • that's probably not as cute huh? :)

  • My bunny loves being on my bed. She uses it as a trampoline. The only problem I've had is that she chews holes in the bedding.

  • Oh dear she looks so bored.

  • aww.

When im upstairs and my rabbits downstairs, she comes running up to find me. xD

  • my rabbit likes my bed because thats the only place she pees on outside of her cage, I think she marked it as her terrirtory

  • oh, not a good thing. but hard to discourage sometimes.

  • aw cutee

  • does she run freely all day and night

  • when i am away from home or at night all the bunnies go into their bedroom.

  • my rabbit does the same thing ..its soo cute

  • that so reminds me of my rabbit if i have my mattress on the floor at night he sleeps on it with me n he follows me round the room its so cute x

  • my rocko baby does that too ^_^

  • my bunny sleeps on my bed like that! :)

  • So does mine.

  • Your rabbits are precious! I wish mine would lay with me in bed with out peeing or pooping. But I hope it will stop when she is fixed. Just wanted to say how precious your rabbits are!

  • Go figure,I put our lil lops on the bed they will either poop or pee on it and gotta redo laundry.

  • i have been so very fortunate for 20 years now. i've had no chewers & no pee-er's...until Bailey, the broken lop in other videos, he developed this fedish of peeing on the sofa where I lay down. he will not and does not pee anywhere else. totally litter trained. i suppose he's marking but i expected that to stop when neutered. oh well, he is 99% perfect!

  • I went to your bunny website there, gane me a little bit more info on rasieing our little ones.I originally got 3 lops in may,by december the 2 does had litter of 8 each, after 3 weeks, babies started getting weak fast and dying, then boxing day 1 doe had infection cut underneath and passed away, but 2 days prior still borns coming out in blood splotches.

  • absolutely gorgeous!

She's so content and happy, you can tell by the way she sprawls her legs out...

    beautiful.

Can i just ask any rabbit owners, should my 9 month old female be spayed or isnt it necessary..?

Shes an only rabbit, so no chance of babies, but i've heard for health reasons they always should be....

    would appreciate your responses.

    thanks.

sorry for crashing this post... x

  • i am a rabbit owner. i have an adorable black holland lop boy bunny named thumper. you may want to get her spayed because around when thumper was that old he started acting really weird and hyper so we got him fixed. he is now very calm (too calm lol) he is getting to be a fat bunny!

  • fluffywoof, I have written an article on the benefits of spaying and neutering rabbits. Click on my link under About This Video and then choose Neuter on my Bunny Lover website.

  • Thank you so much, I love your site and it was very informative, i will definately look into more information from my vet about spaying. I want to know if they deal with rabbits a lot too or if they'll recommend another vet. Fluffy is just so funny, love her to bits. We also have a Bernese Mountain Dog who she adores. I must add a video too. Thanks again Denise

  • LOL all bunnies sleep so weird xD

  • How big is your bunny? I'm curious as to how big they grow. Your bunny is so adorable I'm jealous

  • so cute, but what are the chances that u had ur camcorder on when walking into ur room? lol

  • none, i saw him laying in there so i went and got it, since you can't see with the lights off i turned them on

  • my rabbit looks exactly like urs but browny ginger white is so cool n she puts her head down like a dog and flops out

  • oh lol cute

  • AWWE!!!!!!!! i have a mini lop but wer not sure if its a holland lop. hmmm. any ways your bunny is adorable!!! i have 2 lops and a netherland dwarf they are all so sweet. my rabbits love sleepinf all stretched out like that i think its a riot.

well good luck with ur bunny!!

  • thanks HI191, Sadie is now 7.5 years old. I thought it was quite a jump for him then to get on top of the mattress but just last week he hopped over gate I had blocking the door and I measured it...25" high. I could hardly believe my eyes. Impressive for an old timer. :)

  • aww my rabbit doesnt walk on hard wood hes too scared to slip. and he doesnt jump as high as my bed either :(

  • Aww, what a cute bunny - loving the stretch!

  • Aww! That's so cute!

  • totally chilled out bunny you have there :)
