when my dashund was a puppy i used to bathe him in the sink, but now i bathe him in the bath tub and he is a long haired mini dachshund, his name is Sam and is now 3 years old.

the only reason my two daushunds put up with the bath is because they get a rub down with a towel afterwards! so im standing their drying the already dry dog with the other one whining and jumping for her turn!

Love your Boz and how much he is enjoying the soak. Our "Miss Cocoa" on youtube does better than most. She tolerates it, but no howling. We love her Koo Koo dance afterward when she is trying to dry off, even tho her Dad wipes down every square inch of the spoiled kid. I imagine our life would be very boring without this little doggie in our life. She is quite the character and her antics are sooooo entertaining. Thanks for posting movies of Boz. Its nice to see what other doxies do.

Max will try to hide when he hears the water running in the bathtub.

Once in the tub he just tries to hop out of the tub for the entire bath. I have to hold him with one hand then try to wash and rinse him with the other. Afterwards he is happy and will go in the bathroonm and look in the tub as if saying I can't believe I survived that ordeal again.

@john91722 Haha that's what mine does too. Every time I go to fill the cup to rinse her, she takes the opportunity to hop out and sprint toward the door, effectively drenching the floor with soap and water. Ah, bath time is always such a joy!

@john91722 Just a friendly tip :) Its probably the noise that scares him. turning on the bath is super loud & can scare kids or ur pups. ~ Try filling up the tub first, turning off the water & the ceiling fan too, so its QUIET. Usually dogs aren't as scared then. Just baby talk 2 ur dog, & use calming cues while u bath him. (i.e. yawning, taking a deep breath, blinking slowly). Give it a try :)~ Hope it helps!

There def aren't too many doxies who would back up into the water stream and also not just be trying to drink from it lol. That's 1 mellow smooth hair :) Mine 2 smooth hairs would not be so tranquil.
