In 1978 I drove a Mazda Luce with a 2000cc rotary. I could chirp the tires in 3rd gear. Man, that was fun. That car was quick. Probably a high 14 low 15 car in stock condition.
Rotaries will have there owen class to run in at the $10,000 Dargaville Burnout Comp 13th feb 2010 due to a good number of entrants this year THANKS!! the top 5 of each of our 5 classes will make it threw to a top 20 final that will more than likely be run and held on the sunday morning so be prepared to camp. we hope the prize money hits $15,000 again that will depend on crowd and entry numbers. don't forget there is a band, DJs and bar!! We hope to see the Mad Bull up here!!

Imagine the fuel usage from 8 rotors not that us car nuts give a shit about that! It would be cool though, wouldn't happen for a long time, there still trying to develop 4 rotors. I love rotaries, but v8's have the most potential and will for a long time.

Pfft ive never heard a rotary roar like a V8 nor does it have the torque power or anything you get from a v8 they sound like shit. and a V8 wont blow up after 2 skids.

I love the Rotary cars. dont see too many 3 rotors in my neck of the woods. (Detriot)
but these big turbo or supercharged Hemi's and BBC make 2000,2500, and 3000 HP

lol rotary's are built for the abuse. there is a saying 1 redline a day keeps the carbon away!
main reason being if you dont redline a rotary apparently it will get carbon lock. bad for motor. :)
