  • This reminded me of the first time i saw Jack in the 70s in England with Ronnie Scotts Band, what a voice.I've been a fan ever since.

  • I went to high school with Jack (University High in Los Angeles - late 50s) -- I had a trio then (playing piano) and backed Jack at the various high school events. He was as good then as he is today... amazing talent.

  • Jack Jones' "Special" - truly special - both of his parents present - as well as the special lady in his life, Susan George. Jack - the consummate, versatile performer - showed up and showed out.

  • Funny I was too young to appreciate this old standard songs and the talent & romantic presence of Jack Jones in the 60s and 70s...but now...OMG...he was one gorgeous talent...delivering those songs like that...WOW I'm in love!! Thanks for posting!!

  • Saw Jack in Glasgow recently and he was brilliant! You could hear a pin drop when he was singing. His voice touches your heart. Beautiful.x

  • WONDERFUL!! One of the greatest and one of my most beloved voices. I wish it would NEVER be extinguished!

  • One of the all time greats! I have an interview with Jack here on YouTube.

  • Jack is the consumate entertainer with the verve and voice of a champion. Love his music......have grown older with him and he still sounds like a million bucks. Carry on Jack you are number one!!!

  • Did Jack have a nose job? Jack has 'tinymeat' nose.

  • No nose job. Still untouched but what a wonderful entertainer!!

  • So many great songs from jack over the years ,i saw him a couple of times in concert, and have some 14 or so albums.Breadwinners is one of my favs, but so are many others

  • listen to home thoughts from abroad, a classic Clifford T Ward. I also saw Jack Jones many moons ago, what a class act with an orchestra backing him. Very much underrated but remebered by many who appreciate good music.

  • moviestarblonde, no offense, please dont put michael buble in jack's category-talent ,voice wise ...can't compare jack jones with any other..he's unique.. he's the only crooner/balladeer recording artist who has an amazing control of his voice that it can hit falsetto notes in any part of the song and still maintain the soul and heart of the music...frank sinatra had so much respect for jack and went beyond saying that when he's gone jj can fill in his shoes..yes indeed..

  • Hi lumbiaknight.. Just wanted you to know that I've got tickets to see Jack when he comes to Glasgow in November. :) I've admired him all these years and this will be my first time seeing him..looking forward to it.

  • LUV Jack..Amazing singer. LIked him since I was a kid. He's still got the voice today!

  • THE TOP MAN.

  • His version of WHAT I DID FOR LOVE is pretty awesome too....

  • Certainly 1 of the best singers of the 20th. century. Unique phrasing, timing and that special melody in his voice. I still think his very best song is "Call Me Irresponsible".

  • Jack Jones just knocked my socks off at 3:57.

I wish I could also hear "Sometimes I Hear

The Lorelei". I also love " A Day In The Life

Of A Fool" Thank you for such a thrill. What

a voice. Great vocal control. Good looking

and has respect for his parents. Johnny Mathis

who is my favorite showed respect for his parents when he sang "Yellow Roses On Her Gown". I am so happy that I found Youtube.

  • i loved his music since i've heard him and seen him in a concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila in the '70. it's a shame i can't find his cd's in the library here in Burnaby.

  • good to see jack jones again. the michael buble of the 70s. luv im!

  • i like buble , but he's no jack jones

jack is up there with sinatra imo

except sinatra capitalised on his talent and for some unfathomable reason jack just threw it all away - then again

he left us some staggering classics like live at the sands and sings michel legrand :)

  • Stunning and riveting, Jack Jones is the greatest ever male singer...nobody could match this performance! Experienced this legend in concert in the 70's then again in 2005 and Jack is singing greater than ever...Bravo Jack!!!

  • simply the best singer of the male singers
