Is it just me, or did Shepard Smith mumble "nice" under his breath @ about 2:50 after Leonnig said "give it a fairer, more balanced ..."
Almost as if he was impressed how she worked it into the interview to go with their theme. Setup anyone? Listen closely from about 2:45
I think Fox is in fact MORE fair and balanced than the others, but right now they're in a war with the White House (I can't believe I actually said that), and need to strengthen their image.
A law is nothing more than restricting someone else's behavior to insure your rights.
Our law makers can only restrict behavior of others. Not create growth.
I like the term. Expesially with the health bill. That is a law about all the things a company cannot do if it dare chooses to go into the healthcare insuring business. Or dare choses to employee people. Or the people dare choose to live eat and breath.
How does 1990 pages of RESTRICTIONS make things better?

"lawmakers" again...
They're REPRESENTATIVES, not "lawmakers"

I suppose you're unaware that congress makes the laws???

At what point did they begin referring to our representatives as lawmakers?
I'd say about the same time they began referring to us as taxpayers and consumers.
This change in terminology is intended to put us in our "place" and puts them in another place.
It's like calling Cap and Trade a "green" bill and calling the health care proposals "reform"
If you're not bothered by this it's your choice, but don't assume I'm unaware of the situation because I point out an attempt to alter perceptions.

I can accept that point of view now that you've explained it that way. I actually agree with you...

"At what point did they begin referring to our representatives as lawmakers"
I like the term. It wakes people up to who serious it is when our Law Makers are corrupt.

That's a good point - it made me pay more attention and increases my irritation.
If they still called them representatives it would seem more like they represent the people - perhaps a marketing/indoctrination concept gone bad.
Thanks for your comment - I hadn't looked at it that way.
