  • Just wanted to thank you not only for the tutorial but also the story along with it. You truly tapped into the heart of the song. It is appreciated.

  • I just dont understand the strumming 0.0 :(.

  • Mojo: Not only do I appreciate this as a great instructional video, but I also appreciate the sentiment. I'm a rookie 'picker' and started singing Karaoke at a friends VFW show. I did this song (and Toby Keiths "American Soldier") there and WOW did they appreciate it. Now I'm going to learn to play it so I can do it live instead of Karaoke. I'm totally stoked! Thanks for putting this Video out there for us!

  • Good stuff. Thanks.

  • Great lesson man! Thanks

  • Hey man, I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan, I'm in the U.S. Army. Picked a guitar up TODAY for the very first time. I have been watching alot of your videos and can safely say that I have the very begining of Folsom Prison blues down. Just none of the rest of the song haha. Any song suggestions for a rookie?

  • With capo on 4th fret. The picking pattern I use is hold G chord; pick 6,2,3,4 strings. Then D; pick 4,1,2,3. Then EM; pick 6,2,3,4. Then C; pick 5,2,3,4. Continue picking in this way throughout entire song. But I like to strum the chorus and I use a basic DUUD strum
