Hello! I'm from Slovenia. Hh, probably this is the first time you hear for this country. MY BIGGEST DREAM IS TO BE AN ACTRESS! I always wanted to be... but I never got a chance... I don't know why, but ... When I came on one audition last years I was the best of all, well ... everybody said so... But I was not selected! One girl, the daughter of one director was selected... but I never gave up! THE TRUTH IS, THAT NOBODY CARE FOR MY DREAMS! I don't know what to do! Please for some suggestions

just try you're best! just go to audition! if u won't get accepted at first audition, go to another one!!don't give up!

I want to be an actress. I'm 15, I live in Cornwall, England. I've wanted to do it since I was 4. I've never been to classes because they were too expensive but I go to a theatre group and I take drama for GCSE. I look online for auditions every month but they are always too far away and my mum would probably never let me go. It's my biggest dream ever to be an actress. I just been some tips or anything. Last year, I had my first real play auditions. I got the lead. I get A's and B+'s in school. @kassiezerobear I'm So sorry :( I am pretty much a cowgirl...I love horses and I've ridden for over half my life (I'm 13). In the past year or two, I have had dreams to become an actress. I have never taken any lessons or been in any of my school plays but I think I'm good at it :) Whenever I see epic films like Harry Potter or something I always imagine myself as being in one of those amazing movies. This is a big dream that I really want, but I am afraid my parents won't support me.
@Pressthe8 try talking to your parents about and look online for opportunities near you. if convincing your parents doesn't work then practice your skills until your perfect at them and try to join your plays at your school so you can get experience to put on your actors resume. if you can't become an actor when your young wait until your old enough to drive your self to auditions. don't lose hope
@kassiezerobear Don't worry we all hit bumps in the road i don't have much support either but try to practice your skills until u have them perfect! join the school plays so you can have experience to put on your actors resume. if you can't become an actor when your young practice your skills for when your older and your able to drive yourself to the auditions

I can't explain but for some reason, I have an ache to act. I have for a while now and I need to know how a kid that moves around every 1-3 years, at the age of 13, can be able to have a stable acting job. If anyone has any advice, any at all, please help me out by speaking up(:

@stephlopes10 i do too! But my parents don't support me either! They tell me if i want to do it then work hard, but i understand that we need our parents help. The only advice i have for you is just KEEP ON TRYING. Don't give up. I gave up before and now i wan't this more than anything! Just work your way up, get some experiance in things like school plays, camp classes like theatre or other classes look for auditions online, in local news papers. just DON'T GIVE UP.

dont become an actress for the fame. you wont make it. do it because you love it and thats your passion in life. i am going to finish high school with a bunch of science credits become a psychiatrist and do my residency at age 25 in california and try out for movies or anything. im excited. :)

@iloveyou4eva11 Agents only get around 10% of what you make. So let's say you get payed $300, you'll have to pay the agent $30. It really depends on what your agent asks. You can start off as an extra, to get used to the set and to meet the other actresses. You can study Perfoming Arts WHILE being a part-time actress. I would get used to the films and what not and after graduating and you really feel ready. GO FOR IT! ;D I'm not an actress (yet) by the way, but I know those facts for sure. ;D

@iwanttobefamousify Well, just personally.. I think that you should act because you have a passion for it, because you 'love' to do it. 'NOT' because you want red carpet events and what not. Just to let you know, gowns+earrings+shoes=millions and millions of dollars. So being famous doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be rich. Sure, you get paid a lot but, you'll have to cope with who to trust, what to tell the paparazzi and how to dismiss discouragement from your friends. ;D

With fame, comes enemies and haters and some people may try to manipulate you, and with fame can bring change in you, just remember that just because you're famous doesn't mean that you have the right to discourage people, you know what I mean? I play in a theatre ''play'' ,, And my mom supports me trough everything and I think I am very lucky to have a mom like that, Yes she has her moments but we all have. I just needed to say that. ;)
Oh and don't be dissapointed if you play in a play and you don't have a big roll, You just need to gain a little more experience and learn ,, you'll be fine if you just stick to your dream and never give up!

@zpconn2 Maybe other poeple who don't speak and understand english so good need the text to understand new words which they don't know. I am from Germany and some words I didn't understand so well, but I did read the text and then I knew what the woman was speaking about. :-)

@zpconn2 But the text doesn't annoy. Actually, I think it is better when you hear and read the words at the same time. You can better perceive the words this way. :-)
@zpconn2 It's because some people can't hear it as well as you do. Sometimes the person in the video might slur their words or mumble at some point, so it just makes it clearer. And the captions are in all ExpertVillage videos, not just her. Just letting you know.

i live in the middle of wisconsin. the biggest city is an hour away. i cant afford gas every week to go take acting lessons. so i was wondering if my drama teacher would be good enuf? shes actually an english teacher but she does all of our plays and iv been in 9 high school plays. and im only a junior and my mom might get me in at the school she works. please answer my ? i could use all the advice thank u so so much
i would say so because in my opinion i would rather book someone who has had the exprience of actually performing rather than someone who has just takin classes to learn the basis. although acting classes are recommended and helpfull.. plus the more experience the more to put down on a resume. :)

Hi I'm 11 years old and I want to be a actress, ive been wanting to be one since I was seven, but my mom will never support my dreams, the first time I told her she said no acting classes are soooo expensive, I cryed, she pretty much crushed my dreams,I took an acting club in fifth grade, she said I was her best actress, I told my mom, she didn't care,I want somebody to support my dreams but nobody does nothing .

@kassiezerobear I'm So sorry :( I am pretty much a cowgirl...I love horses and I've ridden for over half my life (I'm 13). In the past year or two, I have had dreams to become an actress. I have never taken any lessons or been in any of my school plays but I think I'm good at it :) Whenever I see epic films like Harry Potter or something I always imagine myself as being in one of those amazing movies. This is a big dream that I really want, but I am afraid my parents won't support me.

@Pressthe8 try talking to your parents about and look online for opportunities near you. if convincing your parents doesn't work then practice your skills until your perfect at them and try to join your plays at your school so you can get experience to put on your actors resume. if you can't become an actor when your young wait until your old enough to drive your self to auditions. don't lose hope

My parents are finally letting me take an acting class this fall but I am scared that I'll mess up in it! What are some things I can do over the summer to practice acting at home as well as prepare for my class?

@stephlopes10 i do too! But my parents don't support me either! They tell me if i want to do it then work hard, but i understand that we need our parents help. The only advice i have for you is just KEEP ON TRYING. Don't give up. I gave up before and now i wan't this more than anything! Just work your way up, get some experiance in things like school plays, camp classes like theatre or other classes look for auditions online, in local news papers. just DON'T GIVE UP.

I remember when i went to auditions for The program called THE(tey) i got a callback but it was expensive to get in it cost about 1,000 dollars to get in i thought it was free to be an actor as long as the producer likes you :( ):

@iloveyou4eva11 Agents only get around 10% of what you make. So let's say you get payed $300, you'll have to pay the agent $30. It really depends on what your agent asks. You can start off as an extra, to get used to the set and to meet the other actresses. You can study Perfoming Arts WHILE being a part-time actress. I would get used to the films and what not and after graduating and you really feel ready. GO FOR IT! ;D I'm not an actress (yet) by the way, but I know those facts for sure. ;D

@iwanttobefamousify Well, just personally.. I think that you should act because you have a passion for it, because you 'love' to do it. 'NOT' because you want red carpet events and what not. Just to let you know, gowns+earrings+shoes=millions and millions of dollars. So being famous doesn't necessarily mean you're going to be rich. Sure, you get paid a lot but, you'll have to cope with who to trust, what to tell the paparazzi and how to dismiss discouragement from your friends. ;D

I play in a theatre ''play'' ,, And my mom supports me trough everything and I think I am very lucky to have a mom like that, Yes she has her moments but we all have. I just needed to say that. ;)
Oh and don't be dissapointed if you play in a play and you don't have a big roll, You just need to gain a little more experience and learn ,, you'll be fine if you just stick to your dream and never give up!

@zpconn2 Maybe other poeple who don't speak and understand english so good need the text to understand new words which they don't know. I am from Germany and some words I didn't understand so well, but I did read the text and then I knew what the woman was speaking about. :-)

i would say so because in my opinion i would rather book someone who has had the exprience of actually performing rather than someone who has just takin classes to learn the basis. although acting classes are recommended and helpfull.. plus the more experience the more to put down on a resume. :)
